Great work from the PAX today.  No running, but this routine does have a cardio element to it.  PAX members were responsible in nursing injuries.

  • 7 Years Strong (well, not really, sorta)

9 mighty men and 3 walkers on the IR showed up in the pre dawn darkness for a Thursday beatdown. Here’s how it went down:

COP on the Blacktop: Deadman hang // Imperial Walkers // Ukrainian Soldiers // APDs // LBCs // Hand release Merkins // Pickle Pounders // 21s SSHs, Hitchhiker strikes again

    7 of Diamonds: 4 corners on the blacktop with exercises in increments of 7 in each corner: 7 Plank Jacks x 4 // 14 Merkins x4 // 21 LBCs x 4 // 28 Jump squats x 4 // 21 Flutter Kicks x4 // 14 Carolina Dry Docks // 7 Burpees x 4

Steal the Bacon! 2 groups of 4, number called and race to the bacon. Losing team does 5 burpees.

COP: Flutter Kicks // LBCs // Oblique LBCs // Freddy Mercuries

SMS: On this day 7 years ago YHC showed up and received the name Bodos by one Honeydo. It was many months before the 2nd post, and it was several years after that before the VQ. Swirly demands that I subtract the first 3 years from my record, but I’m just grateful that it eventually stuck. It’s the small everyday habits that ultimately define a life, and this is a good one.

Noted that Steal the Bacon always ends up with an injury, apologies to Upchuck for the slide tackle. Ask TYA to kiss your boo boo.

  • Putting Learning into Action

Four zen seekers challenged themselves for early morning broga. Conditions were perfect for getting into flow and connecting with one’s thoughts.

Route included Kroger, Rutland townhomes, and I’ll traditional loop thought Rutland for 4+ miles

Speakeasy started early and got in 6+ with Phonics joining him for 5+

  • My First…Again

Gumbo was on the menu this morning for the first time (but not the last time) at First Watch and it was a seating for 11. These are the side dishes and accoutrements served along side the Gumbo:

0530 and time to Mosey – right out of the parking lot and YHC may or may not have gotten lost or disoriented in the darkness. Nonetheless, we completed our mile and stopped at the corner of S. ridge and Country Squire for COP, including:

    • SSHs

    3 minutes of Mary

COT, Numbers, Names and YHC took us out.

Great morning men. Great to take the Q at a new AO – a VQ of sorts. The energy even woke me up 15 minutes early this morning…and that’s early.

Lots of mumble chatter and some hard work put in. All with plenty of time for coffee afterwards.

    Thanks for letting me lead.

    No More Gumbo For You!

  • Eat Less Pizza, and Bring the Office Key

Eat Less Pizza, and Bring the Office Key

One veteran brought the office key for the latest edition of The Clinic. Temps were 70 and sunny. According to the lady locked out of her hotel room, the following might have happened:

Stretch, 3/5ths of a mile run, stop, Fudd, 4.5 mile run. YHC continues to recommend bringing the office keys to The Clinic.

Number, name, YHC took himself out with a little reminder for patience and kindness.

NMS: True to form, police appeared at the La Quinta. The Clinic is never boring.

  • Back to basics

Six showed up today early morning. A day before, YHC asked if anyone wanted to Q, no one replied, so by default had to do it himself. We did our usual culdesac run with 10 Burpees and 20 Heels to Heavens on one side (six culdesacs) and 15 Hand-Release Merkins and 60 LBCs on the way back (four more). Overall distance is 3.5 miles. Finished almost on time. Pigskin did his usual walk around the School with 200 Merkings and 200 Dips. Great morning!
