  • It Didn’t Even Look Good on Paper…

A guy in the neighborhood grabbed the dog and a headlamp and went for a run to see/smell a White Deer, but instead witnessed:

COP: SSHs, IWs, DQs, Merkins, Freddie Mercuries IC

With a 6 PAX, the perfect number, a series of Triple Checks were executed to maximize the mumble chatter. Instead of teams of three, PAX split into pairs and completed exercises in pairs, re-shuffling pairs each time.

Mosey to the courtyard for: Weighted Left Leg Step Ups, Weighted Right Leg Step Ups, Hallelujah Carry around the tree. The Q was wiped out after this and called for a 10 count in desperation.

Mosey to the curb for: Bench Press, Tricep Extension, run to the end of the bus loop and back. Another ten count required for the Q, but got a zehn count instead.

Mosey to the picnic tables for: Sit and Press, American Hammers, run to the end of the bus loop and back. Yet another 10 count.

Mosey to the end for the bus loop for: Left Arm Lawnmowers, Right Arm Lawnmowers, run to the parking sign and back. Another 10 count.

Mosey back to the flag for Curls, Flutter Presses, and Helicopters IC.

Announcements: from Whitesnake: RVA Bluegrass Jam benefiting the Fisher House April 30th: https://rvabluegrassjam.com, from Pigskin: Blood Drive at Epiphany Lutheran June 4th – you can sign up now

NMS: Let it be known – the picnic tables in the courtyard are higher than standard and therefore brutal for Step Ups, much less Weighted Step Ups. Qdrenaline could not even sustain YHC. YHC was inspired by Corned Beef’s Monday beatdown with no counting and lots of mumble chatter. It was easy to remember because YHC is still sore from Monday. The PAX put in excellent work today. Thanks for tolerating an Offshore Q. SYITG!

  • 94 Burpees for Granny

11 men gathered for the unknown. Slaughter Start with 14 Burpees set the pace for what was coming.

YHC cant remember all the things we did, it was a hodge podge or partner work, triple checks, etc with a 10 Burpee timer going off every 5 minutes.

Announcements – Bone Thugs Tax Day run tomorrow at RAAM. Currahee is cancelled. Also, congrats to Bone Thugs on the new job.

Prayer Requests – Tryhard’s sister and family as well as Lab Rat as they go through Cancer treatments.

NMS – we lost my maternal Grandmother this week, she was 94 years old. She moved up to Richmond 11 years ago when she started falling. She was a fiercely independent person who treated moving from the home she loved to an assisted living facility and in a wheelchair with such grace. The 94 Burpees were for her.

Go forth today and love your family and friends and enjoy the beauty of the Spring.

  • Oyster is a fast Beast!

9 masters of their own destiny made their way to Timberwolf to see what they could pack in before 6:15.

Mosey to the front parking lot for COP

DQ’s, Imperial Walkers, Helicopters, LBC’s, Merkins

Mosey to light pole alley via the bus lot Lunges, butt kickers, high knees, Karaokes mosey to the track

Using the 25, 50 and 25 yard lines do 6 of said exercise turn around at the goal line and repeto on the way back. Exercises where Merkins, Hello Dollies, Squats, American Hammers, Prisoner of Wars and Burpees

Mosey back to light pole alley at the third light pole Big Boy Skip around to the gate

Mosey walk with hands in the air to the bus lot stretch out the arms with some arm circle OYO, single file bus lot tracers while doing a raise the roof.

Mosey to the front lot circle up for some Man Killers (YHC started in cadence on accident) switch to regular count starting at 8 and working down to 1. Much to Nancy Lopez’s dismay, he really wanted to stay in cadence for the entire Man Killer set.

BTTF Florence led some Not so Lazy Boys and we did a few WWII and some stretches to get our moneys worth.

Numbers / Names Florence took us out

NMS: Oyster said that the beast was faster than usual. Oyster will need to come to Twin Team when YHC is Q and hear the continued saga of the Beast of Twin Team. The naming of this BB was difficult to decide due to the fact that during the Beast Nancy went down at the 50 yard line with a cramp in his hamstring like he was reliving his football days and faking an injury because the team has no time outs and the linemen are gassed. There was also some mumble chatter about getting Nancy and Parker into a Smart car (Provided by Kelly) tomorrow at satan’s Hill. Oyster did for the record say, he would personally push the car up the hill if both of them could fit in it.

  • Twofer Punisher

Cafe au lait and a Beignet From Cafe du Monde

YHC is getting back into the swing with F3RVA after a weeks Spring break of eating great food and visiting with family and friends in Jackson, MS and New Orleans! Second workout of the day so we had some good strength workout in the books for this workout. Here is what went down:

    COP

    THANG

So warm up complete, we mosey to the back soccer field and form up at the bench. With 5 in the Pax today YHC decides on a rotation workout. First Rotation Station 1 (P1) – runs lap around soccer field as the timer, P2 – dips on Bench, P3 – step ups, P4 – Incline merkins on bench, P5 – Decline merkins on Bench. P5 then runs lap and others rotate up to the next station until and we rotate until all stations have been performed by the PAX for a complete circuit. We did this circuit 2 more times.

As this was a twofer afternoon, YHC had the PAX pick out the exercises for Round 2, YHC chose the lap around the soccer field again(P1) as the Timer and we had (P2) lunges, (P3) flutter kicks, (P4) LBC’s and (P5) American Hammers. We did this the same as above and moseyed back to flag to finish the workout at 45 minutes.

Numberama, Namerama, YHC took us out in prayer.

    Moleskin

Mumblechatter was abound this afternoon and we enjoyed talking about Spring Break and what we did with our families the past week. We also discussed our Happy Hour at Bingo Beer on Broad Street will be next Monday look for a preblast in Slack 2nd F channel with the details but please show up at Bingo and we will have a mini-workout for those that may be interested starting at 6 and we will meet @ 6:15 to officially start the 2nd F event.

Prayers to Trout and his family dealing with COVID-19, LabRat who is dealing with Cancer, and TryHard’s Sister who will be beginning her Chemotherapy treatments this week.

Stay safe and be the positive force in others lives this week gents.

It was an honor to lead this evening and have a great week gents! Cheers…CB

  • College Reunion

5 Davillians including a FNG got in their first post Half Marathon run on Tuesday.

Marco Polo went out on his own route for a little 10k training route prep for Sunday

For the rest of the PAX, plan was to take it easy and run two laps around the school for a 3.5 mile run. Well the loops were completed but not at a slow pace. Our FNG Speakeasy (Craig) kept the pace moving.

YHC arrived surprised to see our FNC today. Speakeasy and YHC first meet back in our college years 15+ years ago. His girlfriend (now wife) at the time was a roommate of friend my YHC’s. YHC had spoke about F3 year go when Speakeasy was still living in the city. Thanks to a long delayed second EHing from Bulkhead we finally got him out

Speakeasy gets his time due to the fact he is a lawyer for the Virginia ABC

Welcome and look forward to him being a regular soon!

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Solo last taping run

YHC went out as a lone wolf last Thursday before the half marathon on Saturday. Knowing there would be hills during the race did the Giles hill loop and back for a 5k

    Great temp = great pace

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Running Red

Eleven pollinators converged earlier than most this morning to enjoy the yellow coziness of Tuckahoe. According to the river walkers and bikers, here is what was rumored to have occurred in the morning darkness.

Mosey to Henrico’s smallest park for Warm Up that included SSH’s, Heli’s, Imperial Walkers, Merkins, Planks (with calf stretches), Cherry Pickers, Dead Man Hang, Jazzercise and some other limbering up movements.

Mosey down South Ridge for Lindsay. Merkins and WWII’s were the call of the day, Brocode style stopping at every intersection to perform.

At the bottom of S. Ridge, turn around and partner up. Runner runs to Overlook and back while partner lunges. Switcharoo until everyone reaches Overlook. Slow mosey back to the parking lot with stops along the way to perform 30 monkey humpers and 30 flutters.

Back at the parking lot, collect a coupon for some Circle Block work. Timer is 30 curls, with everyone else performing a variety of block reliant exercises. Rotate clockwise for one rotation. Exercises included squat thrusts, bench press, squats, APD’s, LBC’s, swings, triceps, and some others that will go unmentioned.

Return the block to the pile and BTTF. 2 minutes of mary for some Heals to Heaven and Shavansena.

Numbers, Names, Announcements, Prayers, Bacon Bits took us out.

Prayers to DTH and his family along with Lab Rat.

NMS: Great mumble chatter this morning with Spring Break adventures. Seems like some First Watchers are becoming Citizens on Patrol, while others have poor timing on vacation planning. Great work this morning considering the yellow haze that was hanging in the air.

    NMS:

Thought I would get a little creative with Easter this weekend and with the abundance of eggs YHC has for his nephews…why not have F3 get to have some fun with them first? YHC showed up early and hid the eggs around Dogwood Dell filled with some nice gifts. I think the PAX enjoyed this beatdown! Couldn’t go without doing some murder bunnies especially just for BT, who scheduled himself out of town knowing they were coming… Good to meet Cane Pole from NC as he was here for work! A lot of great mumblechatter throughout which makes the workout even better! If you want to give your kids a basket, give them a coupon instead… Thank you for letting me lead, make it a great day!

  • So what really happened at door 23?

14 of the worlds finest men of valor stopped by to what YHC had planned for today. 10 chose correctly to head out to battle and defeat the mighty foe (AKA Sad Clown) 4 ran away and did not return until the foe was defeated. According to the bus drivers this is what happened.

    COP: DQ’s – 5 burpees, Helicopters – 4 burpees, Imperial Walkers – 3 burpees, WWII – 2 burpees, Merkins – 1 burpee

Mosey to door number 1 as a group follow the doors around and alternate exercises to the number on the door Merkins, Big Boy Sit-ups and 2 count Ball Dippers. After door #33 we had a little time left so a Indigenous people curb crawl was called. Last in line does 10 Squat Jumps runs to the front. Time was called, everyone does 20 Squat Jumps.

    BTTF

Numbers/Names Don Draper took us out

    NMS:

Door 23 was a good topic of discussion this morning and what actually happened to it. There is only an outline and a set of steps to let you know that it was ever even there. Legend has it the there was a kid named Billy Jackson back a few years after the school was built, Billy was a challenging child at best. Back then the teachers could spank the disruptive problem children and that usually straightened them out a bit but not Billy, he just kept on with his mumble chatter and disrespect of authority. After Billy was in the 7th grade for the 4th year in a row Mrs. Crambackler decided she had had enough and she took Billy out back through door 20A and into door 23. She locked the door on the way out and school went on as usual ending around 2:30 that day but everyone forgot that Billy had not come out of door 23. Several weeks latter when everyone was wondering why the class disruptions where way down someone asked where was Billy. That’s when Mrs. Crambackler smiled and said that he had moved suddenly to Hoboken, NJ. A nice Handyman from the area was asked to take door 23 out and brick it over. Nobody since has ever seen what is behind the bricks that used to be door 23 but if you listen real closely as you pass by you can hear Mumble Chatter as you pass by.

  • Bringing back the Regular NoToll OG!

17 studs answered the call to test themselves and showed up to NoToll knowing (or they should have known) what was coming. OG is back, and it will be a regular (quarterly) thing at NoToll.

YHC was feeling generous so we started with a little COT stretching by the cars and then I grabbed Old Glory and off we went – back to the back lot and fields and twice around. Thanks to Rosie for taking OG for a lap. Old Glory was planted in the front field, the timer was set for 20 minutes and AMRAP 4 corners around the entire facility was the order. Corner 1 – 20 merkins. Corner 2 – 20 jump squats. Corner 3 – 10 burpees. Corner 4 – 20 WWIIs. Go until time is called. Then, meet back at the flag and 2 more laps – native American style and back to the cars.

Here is the link to add your laps for today: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-L8e9W24ygnU0suaGyKxzi1PgPqY1CBd57hLrKTZI-g/edit#gid=1717732871

    Great work men!

    COT, Numbers, Names and prayers.

Prayer requests for DTH’s sister (starting chemo), Juanita’s nephew, and the daughter of Radar’s friend. Add these folks to your prayers tonight and going forward. We all know there are more prayers needed then those that were spoken, so add a few extra too for the good of the cause. Lots of stress and anxiety going around and a lot of folks just feeling heavy with life right now. Keep an eye (and 2 ears) out, increase the patience and lend a helping hand or caring ear and shoulder when you can. Take care of each other.

    No More Gumbo For You!
