    With Posh stuck in the 3rd Dimension tending to his kids’ needs and State Farm posting out of town, Big Rig and Florence stepped into the 4th Dimension known as the Bermuda Triangle. Only squirrels were there to witness the following potato recipe :

  • Bermuda Spartan Race

    The boys were back in town for another version of the Bermuda obstacle course! This AO has over a dozen features (steps, playgrounds, picnic tables, track, curbs, etc…) that sort of make it feel like a PAX Playground. Was nice to have our numbers up to 7 today – great energy and effort by all. Props to Big Rig who hit his 1-mile PR of 6m:44s during morning wood!     5 zombies ventured into the cold mist of the Bermuda Triangle. It was a great morning for the living dead to put this AO to some good use on Halloween.

    Sneaky lunges (walking lunges on tippy toes wit hands out like zombies) for the duration of Thriller. Stopping at each quarter of the yard for mountain climbers, then kick throughs on the second round.

    State Farm had to jet so we chased him back to the flag. He made his departure as the PAX headed for the wall of the bathhouse for the people’s broken chair (one legged wall sits) followed by a standard people’s chair.

    Made a short run around the parking lot with multiple Burpee stops to finish off with 5 burpees.

    3 men woke up out of their fart sacks to join the Bermuda gloom in the 2nd coldest morning for F3RVA this season!

    Warm-ups:

    We brought our coupons and kettlebells and F3 shuffle cards, each had to pick a card that named the workout, and we modified that workout to use with coupons and kettlebells. While the timer ran around the parking lot island. Rinse & Repeat for 45 minutes!

  • Sweet Potato Q

    With the annoyances of modern life (downed internet) ruining Florence’s plan for the Q, the remaining 3 Bermuda boys said let’s Yahtzee this Q. Since it’s the fall – we enjoyed a Sweet Potato Q. And with a nice tight group – some cinderblocks, and even dumbbells fell out of the trucks and into the AO. Yikes!…

  • A renovated bathroom is uncharted territory.

    I woke up this morning motivated to take the Q at the Triangle.Ā  I climbed out of bed feeling chipper, and ready to cause some hate and discontent.Ā  Now all I had to do was get ready, I walked into my newly renovated bathroom without turning on the light because I didn’t want to wake up the Misses.Ā  This turned out to be a fatal mistake as I walked full force into our newly placed bathtub, stubbing my toe in the most painful way imaginable.Ā  I immediately fell to the floor and began crying in agony as if I was a boy who had just been punched and had his milk money stolen.Ā  As I lay on the floor in fetal position, I considered throwing in the towel, and giving up on the morning Q, but I realized that I had motivated brothers who depended on me to lead a great workout.Ā  I immediately stood up with the adrenaline of a bull on red bull, wiped the manly tears from my face, put my big boy pants on, and sprang into action.Ā  These are the events that followed.Ā 

    Five hard chargers gathered for some morning work

    The Warm Up: side straddle hops, Ukrainian soldiers, Imperial walkers, Don Quixote’s, arm circles, Super Mario jumps, Karaoke, Bernie Sanders.

    The Work: Elevens, Merkins on one side, sprint the length of the basketball court, squat jacks on the other side.  

    Suicides with Bernie Sanders.  Sprint to free throw line, 1 burpee, Bernie back, Sprint to the half court, 2 burpees, Bernie back.  Keep this same fashion to the end of the court.

    Mosey to the parking lot.  Stop on the way to do 10 monkey bumpers… just cause.

    Next up, Chaplain’s world famous indigenous pole smokers, hard charger in the rear either had to bear crawl, lunge, or crab walk to the front. 

    Next, The Viking ship (formerly known as indigenous canoe) everyone in a single file doing American hammers, hard charger in the rear does five Merkins and lunges to the front. 

    Mosey to the football field.  Stop on the way to do 20 Alabama prom dates… just cause.

    Four corners, Corner 1, 10 burpees, Corner 2, 20 Merkins, Corner 3, 30 WWII, Corner 4, 40 Lt. Dans.  (It is important to note that my original plan was to do 40 flutter kicks, but for the life of me, I could not think of the two words ā€œflutterā€ and ā€œkicksā€.  Not wanting to sound stupid in front of my peers, I asked someone have a good work out to which Big Rig responded Lt. Dans.  This is a perfect example of why you should keep a winkie on hand.)

    Mosey back to parking lot with three minutes to spare.  Merkin ring of fire. 10 hand release Merkins, 10 Ranger Merkins, 10 Wide Merkins.

Looking at you State Farm, the Chiefs are going down.  They may as well not even bother coming to the Twin Cities as the Vikes are going to row all over them.  Maybe they should go see Taylor Swift live in concert instead.  

  • Monkey Humpers for an audience

    YHC had the Q for another version of the Bermuda Triangle. We started to mosey to the basketball court when we saw a car that looked like it was going to pull into the entrance. YHC called for the PAX to welcome them by doing some monkey humpers at the speed bump. Surprisingly, the vehicle decided to pull away after watching for a moment, so we moseyed over to the basketball court for the standard warmup with some side planks at the end.

    YHC remembered doing some donkey kicks in last weeks Q, and decided to try a different variation.

  • Ascending test… What?

    YHC was ready for a 1 year F3 anniversary Q last week until some crazy bug hit me the night before. PAX started rolling up and we moseyed on over to the basketball court for what was to be a Big Rig Beatdown. Here’s an idea of what happened in the dark.

    This is where things got interesting. With Florence having to push back his 5 year anniversary Q, YHC felt a deep dive into the Exicon was necessary to truly honor our fallen brother. We did a modified triple check on the basketball court.

    2 PAX would perform a broken wheel barrow (holding only one leg) while the other PAX performs Ascending Testicles on the wall. (Basically Balls to the wall starting out at an angle and walking hands in to vertical)

    Only 1 round of this seemed necessary

    We moseyed our way towards our vehicles but stopped for some of Chaplain’s Indigenous polesmokers PAX got to choose their own traveling exercise.

    Great to be back after being hit with some type of bug last week. Been a great 1 year being a part of F3. I am truly blessed to have found this amazing group. God is truly great.
