A dynamic pair of early risers descended onto the pollenated courts of No Toll to work out the kinks and aches that had been plaguing them all winter. Conditions were finally tepid enough to enjoy the crisp morn for a broji veteran and a newby. Shoulders, hips, hammys and glutes were all worked in a variety of ways prior to the ruck beatdown that followed. Great morning out with NTB as broga season begins.

Moose Knuckle, anyone, anyone..
A vibrant 15 emerged from the warmth and safety of their conditioned stallions to endure the elements presented to them on this crisp, clear morn. 30 seconds turned into 15 and so we began. According to the parked motorist, this is how it went down.
Mosey to the courts for a slaughter start of suicides. Upon completion, let us travel to the familiar surroundings of the main parking lot for introductions, disclaimers and warmups that included DQ’s, Helis, Jazzercise, Merkins, Freddie Mercuries, LBC’s and Suzanne Summers. All is well with the world, so lets get into it.
COP 1: Dumpster 11’s: Donkey Kicks along the dumpsters, run around the islands to the posts for Pole Smokers. Return to the dumpsters and continue to count down/up. NTB and Doozy were jack rabbits.
COP 2: Hundreds: Short Wosey to the fields line up along the touchline where 100 exercises are performed and upon completion by 1 person, run across to the trees to await the next exercise selected by the front running bastard. 4 rounds of exercises which included squats, flutters (2 count), shoulder taps, SSH’s.
COP 3: Circle up for a bit of Broga on the field. Stretching what ails you. Childs pose, down dog, pigeon ending with shavasana.
Indigenous People run BTTVF. Last man does 2 burpees and sprints to the front. Circle up for a bit of ab work including WWII’s and Rosalita Dips. Numbers, Names, Announcements and Prayers.
Announcements: Frozen Triangle Saturday 2/10 6 am launch at Dogpile. Numerous upcoming Ruck options including Wednesday 2/7 @ 5.30 launch at Huguenot Flatwater, ruck to Pony Pasture. Run miles with Don Draper at MOT. 42 laps starting at 5 am on Wednesday 2/7. Prayers for Doozy’s uncle as he awaits a heart donor. See Slack if I missed something.
NMS: Great numbers at No Toll thru colder conditions. Great mumble chatter regarding fitness attire and other fashion trends, both top and bottoms. Strong work this morning gents. Appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the company. We are all stronger together. Well done.

Keep going…till it gets too cold
Well, after our ruck we decided a little stretching out was in order. The temps were in the 50s(which is kind of rare) we were able to go onto the courts for a nice broga workout. The idea to work everything from top to bottom(we needed to when the main workout came up) plus show a new method to get into a stretch that for some is difficult.
A total of 15 minutes, we felt better and ready to go for what was to be the Army Physical Fitness Test

Last Broga for October
5 came out(Big Rig was already running, getting his mileage in) I was there on time as we got situated for a nice round of stretching out the body. We started with a little cat/cow, made our way into down dog then walked the feet up to the hands and rose up. A nice little flow was established including warriors, reverse, a little side angle. The new thing I added today was broken airplane/hood(started in a bird dog, then the arm and leg go out to the side, then back to the midline. Some nice pigeon, knees to each side(looking in the opposite direction), then finally sitting up and stretching out to finish.
The warmer temps definitely helped getting loose. Today it is a true double dip so time for part 2

Back with Broga
Last week, no broga at Rock and Roll(Posh and myself were out at Tough Mudder). This morning, a group of 5 got loose and stretched out in the parking lot(right now it’s the best spot with the light situation). The idea is to stretch out everything from head to toe, some parts won’t take long yet others just to loosen up take a little bit. We hit everything finishing with a pigeon, to 3 legged dog, to knee to elbow hold after that a wide leg stretch to close things out and get ready for the main Q. Have a good one see you next time

Early Morning Shavasana
A pair of SOJ Brogiis braved the hostilities across the river to get some limbering exercises in before many had risen from their warm slumber. The call went out for Broga late Tuesday as ideal conditions were enjoyed. Shoulders, hips, hammys and back were the emphasis today. Warrior II, Cobra, Peacock and the always popular pigeon were widely enjoyed followed by an elongated Shavasana. Well done Chappy. Thank you for encouraging me this morning.

Saturday Broga returns
After a few weeks(where I did Spartan, plus last week was the convergence where it poured like anything), broga came back today. This morning was done in the parking lot(at 630am now, it’s still dark so need a spot in order to see what everyone is doing). After a little chat, time to get into the flow. Once we started to get below the waist area(you could hear some grunts and groans) things started to become a touch easier
Finishing off the practice with pigeon, a little knee to elbow then a stretch cross legged reaching out. Once that was done(my case needed after the PAX yesterday), we were just about ready for the main workout coming at 7am. A couple of things: it might be helpful to bring with you a mat(it will allow you to get the barefoot feel plus that extra cushion will help). A basic workout mat will help. Second always remember to breathe. Breathing will help you get into the poses better plus allow the body to relax more. When it’s tense, it will get a little locked up and you’re struggling. Have a good one

wooooooo! Full moon for the Pax
Seven man wolfpax hit Timberwolf this morning for a nice and easy workout. Here is how it went down:
Warmup: Jog from flag back to the roundabout to check out the epic full moon this morning. Really stunning sight right as you came around the roundabout this AM. Mosey back to bus loop area for various stretches.
Thang: Two triple checks. One leg focused (squats and lunges). Next ab focused (flutters and LBCs. Mosey to tennis courts and did 5 merkins at each corner on right side and dry dock down left side.

New Material Release
A quartet of Broga regulaars rose before many to get some early moans and groans out in anticipation of the awaiting main course. Some popping and cracking among other releases were shared by the group. A few new moves were introduced with the areas of emphasis consisting of shoulders, hips, glutes, hammys and calves. Elongated shavasana was a nice climax as the cool morning air surrounded the Pax. Well done fellas.
