  • Curra-what?

With some perfect weather, five men did the Reverse Loreine while two did the Godwin circle merkdip. Maybe next time we can do the reverse merkloreinedip.

Prayers for Attila and his family and for Pigskin and Bluemoon to feel better soon.

Everyone should go clubbing tomorrow: breakfast or brunch. Whitespace will be there.

  • Happy Birthday Lighthouse: Running and Donuts

Final Bro-code run of the year brought out 9 pax and 3 four legged regulars.

standard Bro-code route with COT along the way. Got to show to know.

Currahee is getting pretty regular at Dunkin donuts for conversion and fellowship. If you are on the IR, come for a walkabout and stay for the coffee.

    love my Currahee pax brothers.

    Pray for peace in Ukraine

Lots of announcements on Slack. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

  • Closing Down GM

Nine men were undeterred by the threating wind and rain.  Here’s where they went, with the exception of Gypsy:

    The Route

    • Cross Pump to Old Prescott
    • R on Glen Eagles
    • R on John Rolfe
    • R on Pump
    • L on Thistledown and continue on Brookmont
    • R on Cox
    • R on Ridgefield
    • L on Raintree
    • R on Falconbridge
    • R on Pump back to the Flag

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

This route seems remarkably more difficult in this direction.  It had previously been run in the reverse.  Gypsy reverso’d for the six but there was no six, so he made his own route.  It was roughly the same, only harder.  Coffeteria was solid with discussion topics ranging from nuclear engineering, proper shoe tying technique, deer hunting, the war in Ukraine, gray haired m*lfs, to Fudd’s 2 chocolate donut balls he got in a DD paper scrotum.  Gomer is always closing, even General Motors.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

    Be safe, Merry Christmas

  • National Lampoons European Currahee Route

With no official Q, YHC stepped up with a simple-ish route. Here’s where it went:

    The Route

    • Head out Maremont behind Godwin
    • R on Raintree
    • L into Raintree Swim and Racquet Club
    • Loop around the lake
    • Continue on Raintree until the 23rd minute
    • Reverso
    • Back to SF

    Numberama, Nameorama, COT

    MOLESKIN

Gomer requested that the route be given a name.  Somehow half the Pax missed the exit path off the Lake loop and went around twice.  Hey look kids, there’s Big Ben, Parliament!

  • Standardish Currahee

Eight men took on the mean streets of the West End heading from Godwin up Pump toward Pocahontas Middle. Some Looped back, some cut through Short Pump Park. Lulu found no four legged friends.

  • Bla-brocode-ck Friday

Five of the best from the far west end met to work off some of yesterday’s overeating. EF Hutton and Pigskin did a walk with 200 merkins (made 10 stops with 20 at each) while Lighthouse, Johnsonville and Whitesnake did the regular brocode route (Pump to Church to Copperass to Ridgefield to Pump). Whitesnake and Lighthouse joined Hutton and Pigskin for the final 40 merkins while Johnsonville ended up 25 pounds lighter after his run.

Pigskin took us out. Good luck to Johnsonville and other on the loops today!

  • We have to go back

Ten beautiful men tried to recreate Honeydo and Whitesnake’s Lost route from a couple months back. Most were scared off by the smoke monster and did Prescott/Ridgefield into the Rolfield subdivision to John Rolfe and then took Gayton all the way to Pump and then back to Godwin. Blue Moon and I ventured into the Gayton Glen subdivision off John Rolfe (the scene of the crime), left onto Timberly Waye, right on Ryandale down to the Steward School and then left on Gayton, left on Pump. We avoided any hostiles & polar bears and survived. 4-5.1 miles were run depending on the route. I think all ten made it back . . .

  • October Brocode

Eight was enough for another end of month Brocode. Traditional route this morning: North on Pump, left on Church to left Copperas, left on Ridgefield back to Pump and then home.

Lighthouse and I forgot about the turning back for the six until we were midway on Church but from that point forward the full group did as we were supposed to.

    Announcements: Beer Mile this Saturday

    Gypsy took us out
