These were Trail Mix’s closing remarks as we finished 3 and a half miles around the 22 degree frozen Tundra of Giles subdivision. Although he added “But maybe the opposite.” We believe he was trying to say that sometimes, you pull the fishsticks out of the oven and they are hot on the outside but still cold in the middle. Whether he was appearing to be warm enough on the outside but internal organs failing, or actually just cold on the outside but warm enough on the inside … we’ll never know.Yardsale posted solo for the Ruck, and he enjoyed…

Three runners and three ruckers travelled from Atlee High School which for most would be be an opportunity to hear a lot of mumblechatter while enjoying the amazing weather. The runners ran the farm house loop for about 4.25 miles. The ruckers were seen exiting Giles which is likely where most of there run occurred. COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Yard Sale took us out. NMS: Great day for a walk or a run in Daville. As Anchovy and YHC started into their normal conversation of high school track, Mr. Holland asked why there is no middle school indoor track or…

2 rehabbing gents took their limp to an AO to catch up with Yardsale. They covered a bit over 2 miles in what was YHC’s first Raider Ruck after 75* Raider Runs. Great to be back out there. *According to Big Data.

4 runners and 1 rucker covered just about the entirety of Giles today. The runners hit most of Giles’s cul-de-sacs. The Giles hill hit the runners back. Beat It took us out. Announcements: Pickleball tournament Saturday. Talk to Hitchiker. Water training, including drown prevention training, Sunday. Talk to Beat It. It’s always good catching up with everyone and enjoying the improving weather. We all need to be more aware of using lights and high-visibility clothing/accessories as we lose the sunlight in the morning this time of year.

If memory serves, 5 runners and 4 ruckers took to the mean streets of Atlee. Runners ventured across Atlee Station Road –Beat It was excited–through Giles and Craney Island. If I messed up the Pax, let me know to get the big data right.

5 runners and 3 ruckers braved the humidity to get their days started the right way. For the runners, it was a somewhat slower than usual day, and YHC audibled from his planned route to get in about four miles on the Farmhouse Loop. Meanwhile, the ruckers, lost in conversation or perhaps Giles, were a bit late returning. Numbers, names, an Emoji dash for his phone, and then Emoji took us out. Phonics reminded all of us about the upcoming Pickleball tournament at Batteu, and Beat It will be doing a pool training workout in just a few weeks.

Clown cars from SOJ and WestHoe doubled the home team. Each set out on different paths. Here’s where: Raider Runners (4.05 miles) North on Halifax Green R on Honey Meadows and continue to dead end Reverso and left on Harvest Honey, quick loop of Waxcomb Pl Continue Harvest Honey, left on Orchard Meadow to deadish end Reverso, left on Harvest Honey to dead end, reverso Left on Orchard Meadow to dead end, reverso Left on Harvest Honey Left on Honey Meadows Left on Hollythorne, back to VSF Raider Ruckers (2.38 miles) Cross Atlee Station, head south on Halifax Green to…

On this fine 70s* and sunny morning, five runners earned their walk breaks with hill repeats while one rucker conversed with himself. Numbers, names, and then Yardsale took us out. Phonics reminded everyone that RAMM Gears was happening this Friday for those interested. The hill repeats were painful as they always are, but the walk breaks–an opportunity to cool off and converse–were welcome. YHC, as politically appropriate relative to Hanover County and the vocal Pax members, ensured each runner was only required to run each hill repeat according to his ability and was allowed to take each walk break only…

Four runners enjoyed some fun or games. Congratulations are in order for Phonix and the Trail Mix as they spun their records, high tempo track lap after high tempo track lap, to produce two hits. Opus and YHC need a bit more work in the studio. Meanwhile, ruckers rucked for 45 minutes, except for Corn Beef. After numbers and names, Yardsale took us out. Please keep your brothers and their families in your prayers.

In a somewhat new annual tradition, YHC led the PAX on a trail run hitting some rarely used, usually dark trails on the Raider Run’s earliest sunrise of the year. YHC always enjoys the trails as a change of pace, and it was an added bonus to meet Trail Mix. Be strong! Corned Beef took us out.
