  • Snuff Underground: Ghost Flag

3 NOS pirates raided the Alamo and planted the Ghost Flag with 15 SOS.

The music was loud and everyone was on edge. Warmarama with SSHs, DQs, helicopters, imperial squat walkers. A request to turn down the volume so as not to offend the neighbors.

Mosey to the courts for some Cocaine Bear crawls with ascending mirkins. Run it back with lunge walks and ascending squats. YHC didn’t drive to the southern reaches to quietly Q, so we had to take it to the club. Snuff Underground isn’t one venue, it’s a state of mind.

Mosey to the tunnel where the acoustics were good and the sounds of exertion were contained. Cranked it back up with a triple check with WW2s and jump squats.

The beat was pounding for some wall work Pigskin-style: hoedowns, donkey kicks and balls to the wall, 3 rounds with a dirty hookup at the end.

Surround sound for 100 LBCs, flutters, planks and some stretching.

Last triple check with heels to heaven + lunges. Mosey back to the flag for a few burpees.

COT and prayers. That we may all lead by example; in our homes, our families and our communities.

  • 25 to 4: No Mercy, No Math

Still feeling the sting from the 25–4 loss on July 22 in ultimate, we opened with 100 Side Straddle Hops—25 for every point allowed, descending in height until the silent count, where the Q misfired and dropped arms early. The penalty: 10 burpees for all. From there, we pushed through a soaked U-shaped grinder of merkins, jump squats, and monkey humpers, followed by a brutal fence-line rotation on the tennis courts—core, legs, lungs all tested while one ran. A hill-triple-check brought the grind home, capped by a plank hold with each man choosing his own flavor of merkin.

    Warmarama:

    • Don Quixotes
    • Ukrainian Soldiers
    • Imperial Squat Walkers
    • Merkins
    • Fudd’s Wife
    • Wilson’s Wife

    • LBCs

    COP 1: Calf-Killers

    • 25 SSH (half-reps)
    • 25 SSH (quarter-reps)
    • 25 SSH (silent count)
    • Pax dropped arms early = 10 burpee penalty for all

    COP 2: Parking Lot Grinder

    • PAX starts with 10 merkins, mario jumps to end of first leg of parking lot, increase to 15 merkins, sprint second let, 20 merkins, bernie sandals last leg, 25 merkins Round 2: jump squats starting with 10 and adding 10 each time. Round 3: Monkey humpers starting at 20 and adding 10 each time.

COP 3: Tennis Court Fence Rotation

PAX lined up on chain-link fence while pax at back of line runs to front. Each leg is a different exercise consisting of :pole smokers, no surrenders, shoulder taps, flutter kicks, mountain climbers, burpees, LBCs.

  • Ode to Blacktop

Q sheet was open as of Sunday so YHC grabbed it but wondered what to do. Relive Iron Pax? Boberry just dropped that hammer. EMOMs? No doing that Wednesday. What about….redoing Blacktops Q!? Haven’t done that in a minute! YHC texted Blacktop and he was excited and said he’d join, so that’s what we did!

Today was the definition of muggy but we got after it. Run down and around the corner then circle up for mission and warmups. Then run to Matlock house. Two teams, each team runs to next intersection and does 5 WW2. Run back and do 5 WW2, 10 Dry Docks. Then run back to intersection and repeat until 5 WW2, 10 Dry Docks, 15 squats, 20 donkey clappers, 25 merkins, 30 Lt Dans.

Quick 30 count then do the same thing but in reverse order, so remove an exercise after each run.

Mosey to Rudy’s house for monkey humpers and the Ohio St fight song.

Run/walk/run/walk BTTF. Ring of Squat fire to take us out

announcements Ultimate battle tomorrow, kid friendly workout at rock n roll, homegrown half. Congratulations to the Duke and his wife on their baby girl

  • Doublin’ down on that hill

It was a hot and humid morning but 16 HIMS were up for the challenge. I had this workout planned for several weeks and then Crabgrass decides last week to do it but I like the pain so why not do it again? Mosey across the way and circled up for some warm up exercises including SSH, Jazzercise (after being complimented by Nancy last week for good form), cherry pickers, LBCs, and merkins.

Thing 1: partnered up for 100 reps of squats and merkins alternating exercises after 10 reps, then a run to the next intersection. This was repeated again and a bear crawl was thrown in there because, why not? Run to the next intersection. Same concept but switched to LBCs and Alabama prom dates. Run to the next intersection, repeat, and then one last run.

Thing 2: Mosey through the neighborhood stopping for a circle up with SSH and some burpees, then more mosey with a sprint thrown in there. Finally we arrived at the hill. Triple Check with flutter kicks, monkey humpers, and a run up the brutal hill. Not much time left after this so a slow mosey to mosey back to the flag for a couple minutes of plank until time expired.

    Circled up, numbers, and names.

Announcements: Home grown half in August, mini CSAUP in September, the bridge next week, Spartan in October. All others please check slack. Prayers out for Wildcat’s quarterly scans tomorrow, Futon’s family, and Matlock’s trial at work this week. Great work out there this morning grinding it out with the run heavy boot camp. Each time I lead my cadence improves. Pleasure to lead you guys. Each time it gets easier. Hope everyone has a great week!

  • Back to the hill

YHC has a little nasty hill he likes, but I save it for special occasions (i.e. Nightmare Before Christmas) and today was a good day to revisit…not too hot, not too cold. Futon pointed out that the clouds were parted with a little bit of sunshine coming through above the hill, it was destiny today.

Quick mosey through the bunker, up the stairs (watch out for mud) and we did a series of butt kickers > high knees > karaoke rotating at each mailbox. Quick stretch sess and we hit firecracker alley 1>2>3>4>5>4>3>2>1 at mailboxes. oh hey looks, there’s a hill.

    11’s (Chase the Hare Version)
Swoop was randomly selected to be the hare. Rules are simple – once the Hare completes his 11’s, everyone is done. If any PAX member beats him, Swoop pays a penalty. If Swoop beats everyone, the PAX pays a penalty. Lt Dans at the top of the hill, planks at the bottom (21 seconds first round, 22 sec, 23 sec…). Swoop ran valiantly only losing to Wildcat, so the PAX paid the penalty – two burpees each.

Warby wondered where the trail went so we did an Indian run to show him. PAX members were dropping like flies so we turned it into a slow mosey back to the start of firecracker alley. Did butt kickers > high knees > karaoke back to the playground.

Four Corners on The Dukes block. It’s a big block. Someone tried to make a last minute rule that if you cant see the next corner then you can’t do four corners. YHC vetoed, lets go. 10 J’Lo’s, 20 V sit ups, 30 donkey clappers, 40 mountain climbers. BTTF for a ring of fire. PAX clocked 2.6 miles today, not too shabby!

Numbers, names, announcements, prayers. Prayers for Futons family and those impacted by the storms in TX.
