  • Your Dad talks much louder than you

A group of 9 including a down ranger from western VA + two four legged friend, enjoyed spring like weather for a Thursday edition of running/rucking in DaVille

2 Ruckers and their four legged friend, got their 5 am start and circled back to pick up our down ranger from Roanoke. They then took Puffs on a tour around Rutland/Atlee HS.

Runners and their four legged friend completed a traditional loop around Rutland and the full trail of Cool Spring Forest plus added some extra loops here and there to get in 4 to 5 miles.

Glad to have Puffs join us down range this morning. Sounds like we will be seeing him again soon with is job bring him to the area for travel a few times a year

Also glad to have Handshake back with us on a Thursday run.

The title to the BB today is brought to by Handshake which during the early part of the run asked Hash if he was done with school. Hash provided an answer but a much lower decibel than his father (Corned Beef) would normal talk. Handshake mentioned that he could hear him from 75 feet away yesterday morning.

    SPIT ON THAT!!

3 Davillians enjoy the first day of Winter with a below freezing run.

Route – Started with running over the fly over and head to Dewitt Dr. We then took service road to Giles in our search to see if the 20 foot Frosty The Snowman was up. We were in luck and it was so we then heading out of Giles via Halifax Green Dr hills. Then returning to Atlee Station we headed back over the fly over.

YHC decided to keep it short still recovering from a cold and head straight back for 3.25 miles. Opus added a loop around the apartment to get in 4 miles. Speakeasy kept to the original route (mostly) getting in 4.5 miles

Cold but great morning for a run and we missed our Ruckers!

  • Respect Majority

4 Runners and 2 Ruckers enjoy a cooler Thursday morning in Rutland.

Runners Route – Head down Combs to the Villas at Rutland before turning onto to crestfield. We then took the reverse loop of Rutland but taking the trail cut through to Rutlandshire. Mile two include a loop around the library and PBR before heading over to Kroger. Mile 3 include a loop around Kroger and Rutland Center. Mile 4 varied a little but began with a loop around Rutland townhouses and either finished with a run back up Rtualndshire or a loop around Combs.

Ruckers got their 5 am start and did their thing

YHC was totally outnumbered with Mr. Holland leave a little early for work that left only a crew of Respect PAX and a hate

  • Running Hot Potato?

3 running public school teachers and 3 rucking non-public school teachers posted on this perfect Thursday morning for the Tomato Run/Ruck. This is what occurred.

    The Routes

Runners – About 4.9 minutes doing the Bojangles loop, run through Rutland, Knollwood, and then the modified Bojangles loop.

Ruckers – About 4 minutes through various locations.

COT – Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Opus took us out.

    NMS

Weather was close to perfect this morning. The route decisions were shared this morning. For the runners, conversation seemed to focus on teacher topics, Europe, and the EU. From what I was told about the rucker’s conversation, one topic of interest was finding the perfect one-level home for Corned Beef.
