  • Bulkhead wore them out

1 rucker and 1 runner showed out the day after we had some our largest numbers in week at a Daville workout to get in their miles.

Boo Boo did the rucking and had to keep it short due some “ extra curricular activities” to get in 2.5 miles

YHC after waiting to see if any LIFO’s would be joining did a walk/run getting in a 5k

Great weather for a Ruck/Run today

Hope you fellas enjoyed the fart sack

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • No Intervals

3 runners and one rucker launched from Rutland. YHC had loosely planned a loop through Giles and returning via Craney Island. Because this would be a bit short of four miles, planned in anticipation of any PAX members wanting an easy day, three options for lengthening the route were available–a loop of the small neighborhood down Warren Ave., running all the way to the back of Giles, and running all the way through Craney Island before looping back. YHC and Mr. Holland did the first two options, reaching about 4.3 miles. Marco Polo did them all for about 5.3 miles. Boo Boo rucked a few miles with some exercises thrown in the middle. Numbers, names, Marco Polo took us out.

The calmed winds made for a nice morning to start December. With all of the viruses and family commitments, it can be a tough time to post. Much appreciation to those who are coming out to get the day started the right way, and strength to those who need it to face their challenges or overcome the fartsack.

  • Turkey Day North of the Wall

2 Davillians burned some calories before the turkey was a 6 am run

Route was a traditional one with a loop around Rutland and the full trail loop in Cool Spring.

Speakeasy ran from and to his house getting im cool to 4. YHC finished with the Bojangles loop getting in 4.25

All life issues were solved during run

    Happy Thanksgiving fellas!

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Are you Qing?

4 runners descended on the Rutland Clubhouse to ask each other who was Qing. No one was Qing, so YHC led the PAX off on an effort to get everyone lost on his home turf. Over about 4 miles Opus was sometimes lost and Mr. Holland frequently lost. No luck with Bulkhead. Numbers, names, Opus took us out.

  • 3, 4, and some more

6 Davillians and a four legged friend got in their Thursday morning ruck or ran

Ruckers met at 5am and got in 4 miles

The trio of runners ran a classic route round Rutland, Cool Spring West trail and finished with the Bojangles loop.

Tonka push hard for 2.5 and then walk/run for a mile for 3.5.

YHC wanted to finish without stopping which successively did to get the full 4 miles

Speakeasy got in a little extra and got 4.5 miles

Mumble chatter was good and help the run go by better

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • The Hill Has Eyes

6 Davillians and now regular from Tuckahoe showed up for a hill repeat day.

The Rucker got their early start well sort of. Yard Sale forgot it was Thursday and started rucking at Atlee HS and after 20 mins made it to Rutland to join up with Boo Boo.

Runners heading out of the clubhouse and took the short route to Knollwood. After finishing the lap around Knollwood 3 runners did hill repeat 5x will 2 others continue with a walk/run before the whole PAX headed back tot he clubhouse the longer way getting in just over 4 miles

Welcome to Tonka who fell victim to what as seem to become a little bit of a tradition in DaVille. EH an FNG but don’t show up for their first post. In this case Bulkhead let the fartsack take over.

Good to have Handshake out with us and bring his four legged friend

  • Four Solo

YHC arrived to see Opus in lot and one additional car parked that was for and early riser likely on a Ruck walk. Two more roll in to make four for a nice morning run on a cool sunny and 70 gloomy morning.

We gather up to get ready for a 4 mile route and go through a few Rutland area subdivisions. With the cooler weather we ran a faster pace. See route below:

We return back and Boo Boo was back from his 4.5 mile Ruck walk.

Numberama / Namerama Opus took us out in prayer.

    Announcements

Good time had by all — no ruckers this morning. afraid of the rain?

  • We Should’ve Learned the Saxophone

Four runners, with one four-legged friend, and two ruckers, with another four-legged friend, launched from the Rutland Clubhouse on a perfect fall morning. This is what went down. There wasn’t even a bit of wind to blow. Job number one was to plan a route. YHC suggested a loop through Giles and Craney Island would fit the Bill for about a four-mile route. YHC’s guess was close, but no cigar. The runners covered about 4.5 miles by adding in a modified Bojangles loop. YHC visually confirmed rucking happened as well, but did not confirm the distance covered.

It was fun to catch up with the group and receive some belated advice on musical instrument selection. I was also impressed with the grace displayed by Hershey in sharing her pack with another four-legged friend. The only announcement was the upcoming beer mile. Prayers for Opus’s son’s medical procedure. Opus took us out.

  • Run Beyond the Wall

Four runner, three with two legs and one with four, traversed the dark, wide streets of Rutland, Cool Springs Forest, and Cool Springs Forest West for about 4.25 miles. Because none of us like headlamps we stayed on the streets. The chill in the air reminded us that winter is coming.

It was nice to catch up with Handshake again. We free folk don’t see too many brave visitors from south of the wall. I hope he successfully returned to his westeros-end home.

Handshake reminded us of the upcoming beer mile. Check slack for details. It sounds very “fun,” but I am sure the fellowship makes up for it. Mr. Holland took us out.
