  • Back in the Saddle without Opus

2 Davillians decided to skip the hill repeat this morning at VCC and post at the normal spot for Tomato Run.

YHC has been MIA for most of October with a sinus infection then late nights with the MLB Playoffs. Infection is most gone and the Braves won the WS so time to get back out there.

Knowing that hill repeats would be a great ideal run to return to, YHC decided to reach to Opus about running at Rutland. He agreed and plan was made

YHC pulled into the parking lot at 5:27 with no Opus to be found. At 5:34 Bulkhead come walking up saying he also planned to meet Opus.

We decided to have a Run/Walk morning switching about every 1/4 mile walk to a 1/4 to 1/2 mile run starting with the Bojangles loop, over the fly over onto the Atlee HS service road back to the football field then turn around and come back.

Got in 3.6 miles this morning

Was great to be back and catch up with Bulkhead.

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Opus…No Opus

YHC was contacted by Phonics to set up the Tomato Run Time trial site where we have hill repeats as it has been awhile since we have had a morning run at this special location. Here is what went down:

YHC shows up, then Phonics and we were expecting Opus as he had the suggestion for this event this morning…so @ 5:31 we left for the hill workout location. This route is perfect in that you get about 1 mile warm up and start at the top of the hill right after you cross I-95 and take a left on Village View Parkway(this is the hill) we ran this loop 4 times then moseyed back to the parking lot for a cool down from the hill grind run. This was 4 miles this morning and see map below:

Numberama, Namerama and Phonic took us out in Prayer.

This was a great cool morning for a run, SYITG, Cheers…CB!

  • Tomato Easy Run

YHC was planning an easy slow paced run in preparation for the weekend Capital Trail race and see the route below. This was mostly flat and had fun catching up with Trout and Opus on this 4.14 mile run.

Numberama, Namerama, Opus took us out in prayer.

  • Labrat gets an Italian lesson

5 guys came out to do a modified run this morning.

Here is what went down —

4 miles total — every half mile we stopped and did exercises which included merkins, plank jacks, squats, jump squats, crunches and dry docks

Clint taught Labrat the correct way to pronounce Italian cities he had been pronouncing wrong all his life.

    Fun times had by all!

  • Spaghetti Western Run

YHC pulled up to see a parked car that seemed like an FNG coming to a run workout. We had an easy 4 mile route, with Opus pulling in to park and Bulkhead running from home we gathered up made some introductions, fired up the headlamps and ran the following 4.25 mile route…typically called the Taylor farm loop. see route below:

This was nice so we could show the FNG some other AO venues such as DaVille and where we typically form up to start. Mumblechatter was great, LabRat would have been proud as YHC filled the void of quiet for the first 2 miles.

We returned for Numberama, Namerama, Opus took us out in prayer.

    MOLESKIN

So Sergio Sergi finally decided to post after thinking on this for 2 years this morning. During our COT Bulkhead immediately thought of the Director Sergio Leone who was the director of the Good, The Bad and The Ugly, a 1966 classic with Clint Eastwood as the star…so we kindly gave Sergio the name CLINT. Welcome Sergio and we hope to see you in the gloom again soon.

Have a great day gents, it was an honor to lead this morning. Cheers….CB

  • Short Giles

Two showed up for Tomato run and we decided to do the Giles loop. Normally this is going Reverse BoJangles and return BoJangle’s this time we just Returned Bojangles for a 3.5 mile run.

Great conversation and Opus took us out.

  • Just Two guys out in the rain

YHC rolled into an empty parking lot with the raining pouring. Thinking this maybe a solo run YHC got ready. Luckily Corned Beef came rolling in and we headed out

simply route, headed out to Craney Island hill and back.

    Spit On That!!

  • Is it Fall yet?

2 Davillians went out for a run this morning but you would though we went swimming with how sweaty we were afterwards.

Route was out on Atlee station passed the schools, short loop into Honey Meadows then cut into Taylor Farms before return the same way we came for just over 4 miles

Trout and YHC enjoy some nice mumble chatter about our kids with his younger and my oldest starting kindergarten in a few weeks

    SPIT ON THAT!!

  • Tomato Run/Walk

YHC was sore from Manndate so wanted to make this a run/walk Q. Trout, Trout’s 2.0 and Off Shore went on a Honeymeadows 4 mile loop. YHC and Opus did a 1/4 mile walk, 1/4 run to Atlee and back for 3 miles.

    Good effort by all.

  • All apologies to Oyster

    Mea Culpa

Oyster ended up missing the start of our run last week but ended up running his own route. He did meet us at the end for our COT. YHC offers humble apologies to Oyster for leaving him off the backblast from last week.
