The Lounge looked bromantic with just Rosie and DTH doing some loungy lazy latecomer loops in the lot until Salt Lick showed up to make it a perfect Menage A Trois. The trio ambled down to join the hottest Swamp Party of 2025 and found a gaggle of endorphin-driven Draper-lovers making casual conversation as they finished Mile 4. The bootcamp trio joined the pack for a lap, then broke off for a brief warmerama. Triple Check was the obvious choice, with one man joining the Draper-ites for a lap while the other two stayed for variable reps. Each bootcamper got in a total of 4 laps and a ton of reps, then bid farewell to the Birthday Boy and moseyed up to the playground for a Mini Murph Sesh – which consisted of x3 rounds of x5 Pullups + x10 Merkins + x15 Squats. Mosey BTTF.

  • Resilience

Warm up with ten side straddle hops, ten good mornings and ten Don Qs. Then ten sets of burpees alternating with moseys and other exercises. Mosey up the hill for a Q Tip on resilience. At 90 burpees, transitioned to Chumba womba burpees for a total of 107. Marys finishing with a run. COT: prayers for resilience, for helping out those with food insecurity, and for taking the high road.

  • Cold Potato Q

The puns of F3. Party of 1 arrived at the AO in hopes of seeing some familiar faces but without another sole in sight and no one to toss the potato to, YHC took off to the hills to stay warm. Couple loops around various cul-de-sacs and the high school logged three miles, returned for some 100 rep exercises – merkins, LBCs, squats (sorry DTH, YHC passed on the burpees). With icicles forming on the beard, the towel was thrown after exactly 45 minutes.

  • Tour of Twin Team

5 HIM braved the frigid temps for a House Party Q. Here’s what went down.

Mosey to the bottom of Twin Team for the disclaimer and a few exercises to get us warm.

SSH’s, Helicopters, Ukrainian soldiers, Copperhead Squats, Deadman Hang, and Cherry pickers

Mosey to the top of Twin Team to finish up the Warmarama, which consisted of Merkins, Flutter Kicks, and a few stretches to get us loose.

Mosey back down Twin Team, though the trail, and make a right toward JRHS. The road in front of JRHS is lined with no parking signs every 10 or 15 yards so YHC thought we would do a new F3RVA favorite, 1,2,3 at each sign. 1 burpee, 2 WWII’s, and 3 Merkins.

After about 8 or 10 signs, YHC noticed an extra large parking lot which looked great for a 4 corners.

    Exercises were 10 Hand Release Merkins, 20 Jump Squats, 30 WWII’s, and 40 SSH’s.

After we finished the 4 corners we jumped back into doing the 1,2,3’s until we reached the road leading back to Bettie Weaver.

After a Mosey back to the school we stopped for various exercies on the benches. Each exercise was timed for 1 minute.

Exercises were Step Ups, Dips, Merkins, and Heels to Heaven.

Mosey back to the flag with a little over a minute to spare for some LBC’s and Merkins to finish us off.

Numbers, Names, YHC took us out

Nice work today Fellas! We covered a lot of ground and put in a lot of reps. Shout out to Senor Frog for introducing YHC to 1,2,3. It was mentioned that this may not have been a Lounge approved workout but we made it through.

Prayers for DK’s neighbor who experienced a loss in the family.

Thanks for letting me lead today

  • Taking the Murph back to 94

5 PAX agreed to tear down the Twin Team Lounge, just this once, and do the Murph. This is how it went down, more or less. No time for warm up, mosey down to the JRHS track for one (not two) laps, then back up to the play ground in the southwest corner of the dirt track. The music was thrown into the way back machine playing only songs from 1994. Thereupon we commenced the following:

100 pull ups (a few slight modifications here)

    200 merkins

    300 squats

We broke these up into 10 sets of 10 pull ups, 20 merkins (in cadence), 30 squats (in cadence)

After that was completed we moseyed back the way we came to the flag. Right on time. Numbers, names, announcements, prayer requests. -New Years Day convergence at Dogpile at 7am.

    NMM

At COT YHC shared how I have taken family for granted in the past. But I am trying to do better, and encouraged the PAX to do the same. TCLAPS to Redbird who had the idea of doing the Murph today, and for staying strong doing pull ups til the end. Good luck in your next semester at West Point, I’m sure you will keep doing great!

  • Hot Potatoes

6 men met up and did a set of Doras with a hot potatoe q. Switched to bear crawls around the benches with step ups, dips, and merkins. Went into a round of blimps with bear crawls in between, but a bus came so had to pivot. Ran up the hill with increasing numbers of Merkins, then back to the flag.

NMS:  Lovely band of gloom warriors this morning at TT for a warm WELCOME BACK to my buddy Pat Moore AKA Marky Mark from my church (WEAG) who recently moved into the neighborhood across the street from BWE. He had the painful experience of being partnered up with YHC this morning, which meant he didn’t have the same selective hearing as the rest of the pax. There’s a BIG difference in single count versus two-count when you’re doing DBC’s! There is very little that gets past Last Call and he was quick to speculate on the possibility of Christmas presents awaiting the PAX when he saw the Taco-mobile returning from behind the school before we got started. Well buddy, you may have groaned initially, but the way you took to that 50# KB I’ll be you’ve already put one on your Amazon wish list. Appreciate all you guys coming out to make it perfect numbers! Yours AYE! ~DTH
