  • These Frisbees suck

9 disc golf champions gathered on the BWES grounds for a lounge around beatdown

5:30 mosey to the front door for a quick no counting stretch COP

Mosey to find a bag of frisbees

A flag (end point) is called the frisbees are thrown, PAX run to get their frisbee do a merkin for the number of stroke you’re on. If your frisbee is caught you get a 3 merkin penalty, if someone tries to catch you frisbee and misses they get a 3 merkin penalty. First HIM to reach the flag names the next exercise to replace the merkins. Pad Thai gets the award for most first finishes, Deep Dish gets the award for loosing a frisbee and Melville gets the award for best speed walker.

    Good times had by all

Numbers / Names Pad Thai took us out

NMS: This proved to be a little less loungy than YHC had intended it to be, by about the third round we were sweating and OC slowed it down with a power walk rather than a run to your frisbee. And yes these frisbees do suck but they only set YHC back $0.15 each

  • Twin Team Potato

No Q was documented, no problems this morning for 7 lounge goers as hot potato was called. Off we go with minimal counting encouraged.

Doozy Q: Slow mosey to the bus loop for a variety of in conversation warm ups, some stationary some in motion.

Rosie Q: Mosey past the playground, baseball fields to the stadium entrance for a variety of ab exercises. Continue into the stadium around the track stopping off for some shoulder work. Mosey around for 1 lap working out some legs.

Wet Bandit Q: Exit the stadium and back out to the parking lot. 4 corners were called at the light poles. 10 SSH’s, 20 plank jacks, 30 somethings and 40 of something else. Good times were enjoyed by most. Mosey back up near the virtual flag for a quick circle of additional exercises.

LC Q: Mosey back over to the black top for 7’s. Carolina Dry Docks/Jump Squats. Wall Worm was followed with each Pax member running across the parking lot, 1 burpee and returning. Mosey around to the front of the school for quick bench work dips, merkins and step ups.

MBTTVF flag for numbers, names, announcements. Deep Dish took us out. Good luck to the Ragnar runners this weekend.

NMS: Tarrington coming in hot doubled the PAX size this AM. Good discussion about nothing important. Calculus is causing some issues in YHC household but life moves on. Good coffeteria post beatdown with good conversation inwhich all the world problems were solved. Well done fellas. Always fun to mix in a potato to keep everyone on their toes.

  • He might have a face made for Podcasts, but his body just won’t quit.

4 absolute legends joined YHC for some quality Twin Team Lounge work this morning. With perfect conditions, YHC set out to show our Bon Air guest what the Lounge was all about.

Warm-a-rama: Walking warm up. Some stretches, some high knees, some kicks, some arm circles.

    • 50 Monkey Humpers
    • 75 Squats
    • 100 of some exercise that I don’t remember

Thang 2: Mozey to The Twin Team namesake. Bro code jog up to the top stopping an each mailbox to do 5 of some type of exercise. Round robin format kept it fresh and interesting.

Thang 3: Mozey bro code style to the bottom, stopping at most mailboxes on the way down. We celebrated with 1 burpee when Doozey announced that he’s finishing up with Dealer’s renovation project this week. There’s no one more excited than Dealer as he gets to move back in to his house.

Mozey back to the start for a little broga. Time called.

Backblast title credit goes to Deep Dish who spoke about his recent work in the podcast realm.

YHC was excited to see Dealer in the parking lot this morning. Hope it happens again soon.

Names numbers YHC took us out. Excellent coffeerama courtesy of Last Call. Great morning! Thanks for letting me lead despite some questionable rule interpretation of The Lounge’s by laws.

  • Epic Beatdown

A pair of SOJ regulars embraced the quant conditions that awaited us at Betty Weaver Memorial Elementary School for a beatdown that will forever be known as one of the most strenuous and tiring. 15+ miles were conquered, mostly up hill per YHC calculations. Some stops were taken to lift fallen trees single handed, wrestle escaped tigers and help old ladies across the street. So much was accomplished, it is hard for YHC to recall.

Prayers for Tin Man and his family for a swift recovery. Coffee was enjoyed by all participants with good tales and laughs. Always good catching up with Rosie. Safe travels for those out of town and looking forward to Boberry’s Tribute to the Don next week. Thank you Rosie for showing up and helping lead. Great work today.

  • Lounge VIP Donny Benét

80’s Porn Tunes, Cock Rings & high level calculus. 9X9=18.

70* & Sunny with a pretty view of the river. What’s not to like!

8 Hims finished the week at the Lounge with Señor Frog at the Q.

    1. Assign a time keeper. Forgot my watch.
    2. Introductions & Disclaimers.
    3. Basic Lounge style COP warm up with some counting that didn’t seem to go over very well with the Pax.
    4. Short mosey to the river while stoping for a few Deep CR Squats.
    5. Line up on the floating dock for some curls, RIP Chuck Norris’s, Don Quixote, Seal Claps, Over Head Claps, Etc…
    6. Short mosey back to Last Calls coffee truck for names, numbers, prayer requests, announcements and a closing prayer.
    7. Circle up on benches for a coffee and conversation filled F2.

Thank You for a fun morning and letting me be your Q!

Have a great Friday and Weekend.

  • Road Trip

It was a cardio themed off campus tour for the 9 PAX at Twin Team. Lounge Management was not pleased…………..but we all made it back alive.

Mosey to back of the school for Warm Up: Walking Arm Circles, Side Shuffles, Minecraft Walk, Knee Pulls, Bernie Mummy Kicks, Butt Kicks. Might have missed a few.

Mosey to the back road and line up: Indigenous People’s Run. Nothing fancy, man in the back sprints to the front. We navigated down the pitch black side walk on Robious Road and turned left into the neighborhood. Right turn and all the way down the the Cul-de-Sac. PAX complete 50 LBC.

Going back up the road: 5 merkins at right side mailboxes, 10 WWII sit-ups at left side mailboxes.

Reform the line and indigenous people’s run to the next intersection. PAX complete 50 Freddy Mercuries.

On the way up the big hill: 5 Squat Pulses at the first mailbox. Add 5 at each additional mailbox. I think we worked up to 60. Run to the top of the false peak and regroup.

Indigenous People’s run down the hill. Stop at the intersection for 50 flutter kicks. Indigenous People’s run out of the neighborhood, right on Robious, stop for 25 incline merkins. Cut through BWES back to the flag as our line gradually disintegrated.

50 dips to finish things off.

Numbers, Names, Announcements, Prayer Requests. Last Call took us out.

Final Thoughts: Excellent work by all the PAX this morning! It was great seeing Sin Bin back out. I think this may have been one of Last Call’s all time favorite workouts. We covered a lot of ground and got the heart rate elevated. Until next time……………….

  • It was cold but it wasn’t solo

5:27 and YHC was looking at an empty parking lot, then in the distance headlights turned in the direction of BWES. Pad Thai saves the day or at least saves YHC from taking a nap in the warmth of the F250 and calling it a Loungy Lounge.

YHC already had in mind to take the Q if nobody signed up so when Pad Thai started talking about Tabata type beatdown, YHC knew something had to be done.

Mosey to the covered front entrance for some streaches and stuff no cadence minimal counting and some conversation

Move to the bus loop for a partner type triple check, partner one run the loop partner 2 exercises

Mosey walk to the basketball court for four corners

Mosey to the other side of the court for another four corners

Mosey to the front entrance for another partner triple check

Mosey around to the basketball court for merkin suicides, 3 merkins added to each pickleball court

BTTF finish out the time with some abs and stuff

    Numbers / Names

NMS: It was good to have a lounge morning with no plan to get to know Pad Thai. YHC has gotten into a rut of knowing who I know and keeping up with them but not really investing the time into the newer to me guys that I see. We all should find a new person and ask them one or two questions that might lead to a bigger & deeper conversation.

  • Who has a Rooster?

The warm weather popped a few cocoons and the PAX were out in force at TwinTeam. A few too many for the coupons YHC brought along so we had to supplement with the hidden cinderblocks.

High PAX numbers through off the plan for the day so sticking together and improvising through the chatter was the theme of the day. Early talk of bottle service with Rumpleminze in Columbia, SC got us through the warmup. Round robin with various weighted exercises and timer getting in a few pullups.

Other stuff happened too, some with weights, some without, very little counting and a bit of running. Overall a solid Lounge at TwinTeam workout with an excellent round of post-workout coffee.

Welcome back Sanchez and others that have been in hibernation.

  • So….those are the Lounge Laws!

There was a Slack message on Thursday about obeying the lounge laws. I have read many a message about lounge music and being at the lounge on Friday morning so as I drove to Twin Team, I contemplated what “the” lounge laws could be.

Flag planted in the ground and a little help from Boberry on time keeping and with mumble chatter in the gloom…..right where I left off last time I posted at Twin Team. 0530…..time to mosey

PAX ran down to parking lot across the Swamp with a warning from Rosie that the football field may be muddy. Ode to Q’s from the past! Copy that Rosie.

COP- SSH, Cherry Pickers, Dead Man Hang, Box Cutters, and Merkins. Done…..let’s move to the track.

Merkin Mile. Run 1, perform 20 merkins and pick up the six. Repeat x4 for 1 Mile and 80 Merkins. The mumblechatter was great and YHC began to learn what “the” lounge laws were. Mosey back to bus loop at Betty Weaver.

Bus Loop. Run 1 lap around bus loop, perform 20 squat jumps. Run 2 laps around bus loop, perform 40 monkey humpers. Run 3 laps around bus loop, perform 60 LBC’s. Run 4 laps around the bus loop, perform 80 SSH. During PAX run of 1st lap, YHC understood lounge laws even more. At the start of running 2 laps, audible called for lunges. AHAHAH…..this made PAX very happy. 2nd lap was a trot and we performed monkey humpers.

Time running out so YHC called audible for lunges back to the flag in the most direct way possible…..use the sidewalk.

YHC thinks about F3 Richmond almost every morning and the impact you men have had on me. So, I signed up to Q because that definitely gets my ass out of bed.
