  • 8AM Breakfast Club?

    8AM Breakfast Club?

Ten of RVA’s finest did extra credit before and after DogPile to earn their breakfast, about 4 miles to be exact. Mr. Thompson said “FU, our bacon is off limits before 8am.” Mr. Thompson now has a big black X on his corporate file.

After Chum nearly killed YHC with a Burpee Half Beast, figured it was best to grab the Q or face a similar path of destruction again this week.  Perfect weather for 2 Respecters and one of the Hated.  Where’s all the 40 somethings?  Always great to close out Monday Punisher style.

  • Ghost Town

4 runners moseyed down the street formerly known as Cary and over to DogPile then back again, picking up one more on the return. Cary currently looks more like a post apocalyptic ghost town.

YHC gave detailed, clear and concise directions, though according to TYA the most words spoken by YHC in 3 months.  Roughly 3 of the 7 PAX followed those directions.  All returned to the shovel flag on time.  Call it a win.  The theme of the morning was what’s next.  After a 5k, it’s a 10k, after a 10k, 10 miles, half marathon, or in TYA’s case Tennessee and possibly Virginia.  Whatever the next goal might be, once that’s done, just keep running, there really is no finish line.  Enjoyed discussing the Manning/ Brady charity golf match with Swirly along the way.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

    Bone 10k in August

Not mentioned this morning, but YHC’s dad is having fairly extensive surgery in a couple of weeks, prayers welcomed.

  • Stars and Stripes

Four runners moseyed to DogPile, five moseyed back. Great idea by Flatline to bring out the shovel flag, a tradition that’s fallen off a bit. Felt great to carry it with pride as we remember the ultimate sacrifice that was paid so we are free to run as we please.

With nary a bear or a Honeydo in sight 4 early risers took the blue pill whether they needed it or not.  Here’s what happened:

Two takers of the red pill returned to find out what would be unlocked by ingesting the blue pill.  Honeydo promoted the affair, but then fartsacked.  No word yet to his whereabouts.  Good to have LJ out.  Kubota prefers the blue pill.  The green pill next week is 45 minutes of bear crawl, wondering if Kubota will show.  Handshake enjoys the mystery of the gloom, but seeing the sun rise during a workout adds a little something extra.

Six dudes just looking for some extra credit set sail on a fantastic journey from ET’s to Dogpile, to and fro, or fro and to if chosen. One is looking noticeably thinner these days. Hardywood called the to route, YHC called the fro.

    MOLESKIN

It was a beautifully cool and surprisingly dry morning to fight off the pull of the sack and work.  As a first time First Watcher Upchuck was given the honor of choosing the red or blue pill.  Concerned that the side-effects of the blue workout might last longer than 4 hours, red was chosen and the PAX’s destiny was set.  The mosey seemed excruciatingly long to the end of Culpepper, but the path back to Ridge provided just the desired result.  Some fast Lungers in this group.  Diving straight into DQs during the COP proved to be a mistake as YHC heaved a total body groan that made the PAX collectively cackle.  Glad to provide some comic relief, despite that sound being completely involuntary and a sure sign of non-hate days to come.

No Dropkick Murphys, no problem, F3 golf it is.  YHC usually plays golf on the first Monday in May and being such a beautiful day, seemed like a great day to dust of the sticks and make the best of it, well as we F3ers do it.  Good to have Chum along-side.  Plenty of burpees, need a pro like Lab Rat for the DCP competition out there.
