  • I see you!!!

YHC VS YHC this morning at SOT, it’s cold and YHC doesn’t feel like being here. Oh well, I’m here now so might as well get something done.

Mosey down to the track an do a 2 mile merkin walk. Walk each lane starting with the 6th and do 6 merkins at the ends and sides. Lane 5 do 5 merkins, Lane 4 do 4 merkins so on and so forth. Once you complete lane 1 start going back up (YHC started the way back up in lane 3). In total 8 laps

Mosey up the stairs and around the front of the school u-turn BTTF but do 10 merkins at each door on the way back.

Numbers / Names with the MOT crew Wedding Singer took us out

NMS: Apparently YHC was very interesting to watch during this beatdown. At the far end of the track a cat stood or crouched watching me every time I came around that end of the track. YHC had a good rolling conversation with him every time I passed. He or she did not feel safe enough to come out and great me but I unloaded all the cares of the world on her and she listened attentively every time I passed.

  • Lumberyard Kettlebellhell

Two HIM’s showed for an unplanned time of solitude while rucking but the cosmos had other plans. Took off for a quick 1.5 mile ruck and may have been some lamenting about the weight of a seemingly unending winter.
Returned to the kettlebell staging area then took a quick mosey down to heli pad for a brief warmarama and mosey back to begin the morning intake of VQ for @commando. Went through a Tabata rotation of five exercises 2X total 10 rounds. Started with shoulders.. kettle bell swings, around the world, shoulder press, cleans and press, halo! Followed by same format and worked abs….American hammers, WW II, side bends, Frankenstein sit up, single leg V-up! Finale consisted of some work on the guns…bent over rows, dbl bicep curl, overhead tricep, single arm curl and skull craters to finish!!Ended with a pledge of allegiance to ‘ole glory, quick closing prayer!! Thanks @beaver for the Q push!!

  • Trio at The Woodshed

COP 1: Start at end of the parking lot with called exercise, run to the cindy and perform called exercise, run to the other end of parking lot and perform called exercise. Exercises were added each time. Exercises were as follows:

  • Peckerpants

Sometimes you can Q with one idea. After we sprinted to the Roger Roger pad and did some warmups, I brought us to the park path entrance for some 11’s. We did jump squats and merkins between the path entrance and the end of the woods. After a few rounds and realizing 6 miles would take too long, I changed the distance to be between the pavilion and the end of the woods. With an on the fly modification to finish the final ten merkins back at the entrance, we then moseyed back home. Total 3.5 miles.

We also had two ruckers who went West on Three Chopt and back.

It is still dark out so good to have some headlamps, reflective vests and Salt Licks crotch to show us the way.

  • Ode to Handshake

First Watch cannot bypass the birthday week celebration of one of its one mainstays.  An ode to Handshake turning 42 went down as follows:

    • COP
      • SSH
      • IW
      • Ukrainian soldiers
      • Helicopters
      • Arm circles
      • DMH
      • Merkins
      • LBC
      • Penguins
      • APD
    • Run through the neighborhood stopping at every mailbox on the right with 14 reps:
      • 42 merkins
      • 42 WWII sit-ups
      • 42 copperhead squats
      • 42 CDD
      • 42 LBC
      • 42 jump squats
      • 42 Chuck Norris
    • We did stop at the turn and have a 3x check
      • Run
      • WWI sit-ups
      • H2H
    • Back at the flag, COT with YHC taking us out

More running than normal for YHC.  T-claps to Gomer for putting up that YHC and the increased distance.  42 reps and a 3x check was hopefully right down Handshake’s alley.  He can unwrap his sausage casing at home, and no guarantees the M will receive any pleasure there.

Prayers up for those sick, in the job market or starting new jobs.  God is good all of the time!

  • It Takes Two

Broadway and Big Rig ventured into the Bermuda Triangle for the latest Tuesday Beatdown. They showed up early, and got in an easy 2.5 miles.

No warmarama, just right into some Quadzilla Elevens with Stiletto Squats and Pole Smokers. Bernie up the hill.

Back to the flag for an Eye of the Storm with various ab and leg exercises out on the corners, and merkins in the eye.

Then 4 corners with Merkins and Abs.

Mosey back to the school, for some lunges, and back to the flag.

Always great to catch up with Broadway. We certainly had a lot to pray for.

  • Do I have the Q today?

12 Souls made it out to to experience another wonderful day at No Toll. YHC made it just in time to not look like a total jabroni, woke up in a sweat realizing I had the Q that morning… Lets Go!! Moseyed to the parking lot for:

  • Blackout

Freewheeling conversation as usual, NSFW. The parking lot lights were turned off, so we worked out close to the school entrance, the only source of lighting, where our faces, APDs, and conversations were surely recorded and archived by school cameras for future analysis. For anyone looking for love, consider a career in the mortgage lending field, a great way to meet recently single women looking to re-validate their appearance with a proximal male counterpart, and looking for great low rates with a focus on customer service.

    Now then…

SSHs, copperhead squats, plank jacks, merkins, the Hermey stretch, LBCs, heels to heaven, flutter kicks, APDs

    20 swings, 20 goblet squats, 20 single leg deadlifts (10/leg), repeat 3x

    20 deadlifts, 70 calf raises, 15 WWIIIs, repeat 3x

    20 upright rows, 20 single arm overhead presses (10/arm), 20 lunges (10/leg), repeat 3x

    20 bent over rows (10/arm), biceps 21s, 20 skull crushers, repeat 3x

Props to Hermey for completing most of this frosty workout w/o gloves, a tribute to his stubborn nature, which also helps him perform tooth extractions. He’s cutout for this stuff.

    Names, numbers, skipped announcements.

    YHC took us out.

Working out does not feel like such a chore with you fine gentlemen. Come for the workout, stay for the fellowship and faith. Thank you, guys, for joining me, and for allowing YHC the privilege to lead you. Until next time!
