    MOLESKIN

While awaiting the last runners to arrive back for the COT, Marv admitted that 70 yo Bob “Rammer” Ramsey, play-by-play guy for St. Louis, gave him a few good hooks to the rib cage during VCU’s dustup with the Billikens Friday night.  Marv is planning his revenge.  I’m thinking a Tombstone Piledriver through the scorer’s table at the A-10 Tourney.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS

Prayers for our Union (and also for Canada, ha)

  • People of a my age

I am often reminded how old I am. By the things my mind thinks I can still do vs. what my body can do. When I make a reference to a TV show and no one know what I am talking about, etc. So when I brought up the most famous postman in the world, next to Newman, the Pax fell silent.

Quick mosey through the lot. COP- 20 each SSH, LBC; Willy Mays Hayes, 10 Each, Jim Duggan’s,  Jazzercise, Helicopters, Imperials Walkers, , Copper head squat, Cherry pickers, Merkins, Dollies, Flutters.

The Cliff Klaven: 5 Mailboxes = 5 of called exercises at each mailbox. Repeato to the back of hood and back. Exercises were, to name a few: Christain McCalfraises, Jump squats, IW’s, Ukrainian Soldiers, Firecrackers, etc, Found our way back for 5 minutes of Mary. YHC wanted to see who would be the first to put us on our six. It happened.

COT- YHC took us out in prayer. Call out to the Roundtrey wicked witches sho melt in the rain! Where U at!!!!

    Moleskin

So this will be the last DaVille workout for me from my house in Kings Charter…I will soon be 15 minutes (not 5 minutes away) next week but love to start the week with a great beatdown. Yesterday, we took our cats to the in-law’s cabin in Dyke, VA where they are out in farmland with a nearby creek and woods. A dream for a couple of cats. One of the cats is Richard Parker, named after the Tiger in the book and Movie ‘Life of Pi’. A lot of symbolism with this cat who has been part of our family for 14 years. He was close to my 2.0 Hash who is now in San Antonio, Tx – Lackland Air Force Base. He was able to call and talk for 5 minutes this past Saturday evening and told me the letters are so important to show support. I told him that Richard Parker misses him and sleeps under and on his bed, rests in his room and had stayed in my room the past few nights before we relocated him to the country. He is an outdoor cat in that usually every night, I let him out and he returns when I arrive home from the early am F3 workout. I reminded George that in the story of Life of Pi one version is the Tiger symbolized Pi and represented his fierce, violent and animalistic fight he will require to get through the tough things in life. Like Pi – George will have to dig from within. And his father will too. So blessed with the love around and at peace knowing that in the chaos of life…a solo workout is ok and welcomed.

See you in the gloom soon gents…Cheers from CB!

  • Strong Sunday Crowd

Eighteen, that’s right, 18 residents of our deferred to Breaking Bread location were blessed with a second serving of chicken, a day after Gumbo’s meal delivery.

Meal for the day included three whole smoked chickens, potatoes, salad, and a bag of small french rolls (with butter of course). The leader of the house was pleased that he didn’t have to come up with a meal to feed the group that evening.

As has been said many a time prior, Breaking Bread is an easy and fulfilling 3rd-F opportunity not only for yourself, but for the whole familiy.

See the Q sheet to sign up.

  • Playing Through

Two regulars joined up at Reds for a 5:30 departure, with one running from the house to the start.

The golf course route was selected but after 4 or 5 holes it was apparent the cart path was icier than the roads so the final 2 miles was opted for the Salisbury neighborhood.

  • Tis I, the 4 Corners Bandit!

70 degrees here at the Alamo today. Started off with a longer-than-normal run to get us going, headed down the cul-de-sac and then over to the bunker.

    Bear Crawl / 20 8-count shazams / 30 double count Freddie’s / 40 firecrackers

YHC was feeling fresh after that, so we rode the hot hand and went back in for more!

    But wait, there’s more!

Karaoke around the circle / 20 SSH in cadence / 30 SSH in cadence / 40 SSH in cadence.

    • We were under heavy KB weight all workout.

    • Put Iron Mile on the list with Michigander.

  • A very F3 Birthday

11 men met in a dark, cold, semi-wet parking lot on YHC’s birthday. YHC’s clock showed him as being 31 seconds to the workout, but YHC guesses others aren’t on Apple Standard Time.

Quick Mosey to catch up with the Pax and circle back from a COP. COP consisted of various exercises then sets of 5 Burpees to make our way to 42 to represent YHC’s age (with a bonus Burpees for the start of YHC’s 43rd year).

Mosey to the Third Church Parking lot by Bodo’s office to grab the Cinderblocks. Get in groups of 2. P1 does an exercise and P2 runs the lot, this happens 6-7 times. Switch to P1 doing an exercise and P2 Squats, do this another 4-5 times. Put blocks away and do some Mary (Flutters, WWII’s, LBC’s).

Mosey back to Hoedown lot, 20 HRM’s, times up.

Announcements – Breaking Bread. Gumbo and Splinter too this Saturday/Sunday, but next month is open.

NMS – F3 Birthdays are unlike another other. They start with advance thought to sign up to Q. Then you post on Slack to hype your own Q. The morning of rather than enjoy some extra sleep on your special day you wake up uncomfortably early to lead a bunch of grown men in a workout. Lastly once this is all complete you then have to write about it on the internet. That all being said we love them. Thanks to everyone for making it out to celebrate 42 years on this earth. YHC is thankful for these men.
