    NMS:  YHC arrived early to Satan’s Hill with a plan to get a little warm up run in.  The warmth of the car had other plans.  Bullseye was getting after it though.   Great job Bullseye.   Duke was on the Q today, but gave notice that it would be a Hot Potato.  What a great morning to tackle Satan’s Hill.

  • It’s Madness

    11 blue-chippers had it all on day two of March Madness at Satan’s Hill . There was fog, a full-moon, busted brackets, and VQ by Dracula. The moon thing was not planned and there were some basketball treats. Good job spiders and adios wildcats! Now for the show… 

    It started with a COP:SSH, jazzercise, arm-circles, DQ, side lunges, merkins, flutter kicks, and Dollys. 

    Mosey up Satan’s Hill for some work. Pit stop #1  DORA of merkins, LBC, and squats. Mosey some more. Pit stop #2 DORA of dive bombers, box cutters, and lunges. Mosey back to the flag.

    Back at the campground 11s with a partner – merkin, squat, and parking lot pacer. Last exercise was plank walk island.

  • Bear Crawl and Tires

    Nine men came to Satan’s Hill on an unseasonable warm Monday morning for a smorgasbord of unusual fitness activity. The New Market turnout was light, presumably because of the 5k the day before (though interestingly the PAX that ran the 5k showed up while the PAX that walked the 5k stayed home….hmmm).

    SSH – an unspecified number, just enough to be annoying

    ‘Muricans, stretches, LBCs etc.

    Mosey to the rockpile for a round of: Curls, military press, ‘muricans, flutter kicks, squats, rock copters, and hitting a tire with a sledge hammer while one member acts as a timer running to the mailbox

    Cross the parking lot by having a PAX member toss the tire discus style and everyone bear crawls to the tire for 10 LBCs

    One round robin of Indian arm wrestling where we all found out Kelly has extremely good balance

    Back across the parking lot with the tire and bear crawl where we found out Parker should have joined the Olympics as a discus thrower, seriously his throw was at least 50% further than the next furthest throw

    Sprints to finish up.

    Number-ama – Name-o-rama prayers for the family of Lance Corporal Dennis Veater (USMC) who was killed in Iraq 15 years ago (YHC’s nephew).

  • All made a difference

    A group of men came out today to make a difference. Some walked some ran but all impacted Galactosemia! 2.28 is rare disease day and thus is why GLOW started years prior on the first weekend in March. I appreciate this group so much for support. If you were not able to post I will get you your runner bag this week.

  • Big Data Update

    11 PAX came out to SH. After an initial warm-up with SSH, and partner assisted stretches we ventured into the heart of New Market stopping at every intersection to do 10 ‘muricans, 10 LBCs and 10 squats followed by partner assisted stretches. The emphasis was on proper form. We ran all the way back to the dark cul de sac and even tried running in cadence in the unoccupied stretch. the results were modest as some of the PAX didn’t understand the left meant, well left. Then Hermie started to channel Gunnery Sgt. Hartman and that was when YHC had to call it a day.

  • Rosco is a Focker

    10 Strong posted to Satan’s hill on this brisk spring morning. There was 1 FNG in the house Ready learn the ways of F3. At the bottom of the hour here is what went down.

    COP- 20 each SSH, LBC’s, 10 each: Helicopters, Imperial Walkers, Ukrainian Soldiers, Jazzercise, Merkins, LBC’s, Flutters,

    The thang: Mosey to bottom of hill and partner up. Run 1/3 way up hill while partner broad jumps trade off. Runner next 3rd while Lt Dans, Next 3rd broad jump with a merkin and runner.

    Triple check to the stop sign with hand release merkins and squats. Mosey back to stop sign and another triple to bottom of hill with drydocks and ??. Mosey down trail grab a log for some log presses. Back to flag for a dealers choice . 25 of whatever Pax calls.

    YHC took us out in prayer.

  • Where’s Wilson?

    Eleven dudes plus a Q that needed coffee showed up to Satan’s Hill this fine Monday morning. Q struggled with counting and will improve for the next one. Thanks to the PAX for keeping me in check.

    DQ, SSH, Merkins, WWII, Helicopters, flutter kicks, & 2 burpees to get the troops in line

    Line up – high knees, butt kicks, side shuffle, karaoke, Oline blocking drill

    Find a line for fast feet drills- front to back jumps, side to side jumps, split the line – 50 each

    Mosey up Satan’s Hill and over to the hidden logs. Lost Wilson on the way but he showed up eventually. 20 Log Press and 20 Log rows x3

    Mosey to random cul de sac. 20 carolina dry docks, 20 dips x3

    Mosey back to the Rock pile – partner up for bicep burn out . Partner 1 does 1 rep, pass to partner 2 for 1 rep. Up to 10 reps and back down to 1.

    Mosey to flag. 50 Merkins and time.

  • McDLT

    9 men arrived at SH ready to work on a beautiful 65 degree day. The theme was the McDLT in honor of the Refrigerator Perry. Keep the hot side hot and the cold side cold. We mixed running with mercans and squats in good form and partner assisted stretching. Based upon the sounds coming from the pax the stretching was greatly needed. For the non stretching types who complain that they aren’t getting a good workout a couple trips up SH cured that.

    It was my pleasure to lead today and I look forward to being more active as a Q at SH.
