  • What’d You Expect?

10 Satans Hill regulars showed up for a very un-original Florence Q. When YHC is Q’ing Satans Hill, you can bet lifting Rocks and running up a hill is involved. Here’s the rundown :

    Warmarama :

    20 SSH IC

    10 Russian Soldiers IC

    10 Don Q’s IC

    10 Cherry Pickers IC

    10 Imperial Walkers IC

    THE THANG :

Mosey to rock pile and choose a rock (or a boulder if you’re Nancy)

As a group, perform an exercise then run all the way up satan’s hill and back down to your rock then straight into next exercise

Here’s the exercises we did :

    60 overhead press

60 American Hammers single count while Holding Rock

    60 squats

    60 curls

60 sit ups while holding rock

    30 thrusters

On your Six, do 125 rock presses while doing flutters

Run up satan’s hill one last time then back to the parking lot for COP

5MOM consisting of PAX choosing an ab exercise to do 10 reps IC. We did : Crunchy Frogs, Box Cutters, American Hammers, Rosalitas, Freddie Mercuries, and LBC’s (YHC was planning on all PAX choosing an ab exercise but we ran out of time)

    DONE

Run back to Ole Glory to witness the monstrosity of Florence’s party foul….Ole Glory had fallen on the ground so we did 5 penalty burpees. YHC would have punished himself with more burpees but we were already over time.

    COT :

Prayers for Pearl as he gets the snip on Monday

Nancy lent his copy of F3 Freed to Lead book to another PAX. Thank you for sharing that brother.

YHC’s M was pissed at him for posting this morning with the 3 month old 2.0 not having a great night of sleep. But YHC was able to sneak in some time to rock the baby back to sleep before leaving for the Gloom.

For newer PAX interested in Q’ing, ask an older PAX to get you hooked up with the Q Sheet and Big Data. Google F3 Exicon for exercise ideas.

    NMMS :

YHC apologizes again for Ole Glory falling over. Thought she was dug deep into that mulchy dirt but apparently not. But on a positive note, it’s awesome to see how many new PAX are coming out to satans hill. Great AO

  • 13s

Nine WARRIORS came out in what couldn’t be a more perfect morning to join YHC in just his second Q, including an evacuee from NOLA that has posted over 270 times this year in the deep south. Shout out to Hokie! After a few vets admitted to taking the day off due to college football kickoff, YHC thought it best to step back up and give another run to lead the PAX. After a few months in the gloom and feeling better about the process, we put on a team based beatdown honoring our brothers and sisters that gave the ultimate sacrifice to allow us to do the things we do.

    The THANG :

COP – SSH, DQ, Arm Circles, Cherry Pickers, Standing stretch Right/Center/Left, LBC, Hello Dolly/Flutter Kicks, Sitting stretch R/L/C

Mosey to top of the hill. Plan was to involve every brother in leadership. No brothers left behind. Pause at every corner giving each brother the chance to call out their favorite exercise. Along the way, option to do one burpee, or three squats at every mailbox on the right. 50 exercises at every corner – Copperhead Squats, Merkins, Chainsaw (this was Hokies attempt at making light of what was to come for him back home), Carolina DD, Money Humpers, 4 count Mountain Climbers. Run the trail back to parking lot and grab a coupon.

13’s – In honor of the brave 13 brothers and sisters that lost their lives protecting our freedoms last week, we did a workout for them. Partner up. Runner halfway up the hill does 13 Merkins, 13 WW2s, 13 Box Cutters (soon audibled to FKs), while partner does curls first set, tri extensions second set, shoulder press third set. FINISH!

COT – Prayers of gratitude for F3 brotherhood and what it means to each of us. Prayers for Hokie and safe travels home, with a speedy recovery of his property. Prayers for all of NOLA and everyone in the NE that have been impacted by Ida. Prayers for every one of us to provide leadership and inspiration to those in need.

Thank you PAX for joining me for a much needed morning with my brothers in the gloom. I appreciate each and everyone of you.

  • Better Late Than Never

POG had the Q but forgot BB so YHC is logging it. The Q consisted of hills, 4 corners and rock lifting. Welcome FNG Hawk!

  • Battle of Long Island and a little Merlot

14 men, including three FNGs answered the call to report for duty on Satan’s Hill for a Battle of Long Island themed workout. YHC was shocked at the record breaking turnout and determined to give he PAX their money’s worth.

Warmup with discussion of the Battle; some frustration was displayed by the PAX, but historical context was important.

SSH, Helicopters, cherry pickers, ‘murcans, LBCs

Mosey to the top of the hill then 4 corners with 20 each stop ‘murcans, LBCs, CDDs and squats.

down the hill with further discussion of God’s intervention 245 years ago to preserve the fledgling, trapped American Army after the retreat to Brooklyn Heights. In honor of the Maryland 400 holding the line and allowing the others to retreat we did a bear crawl style Indian Run to the top of SH. The mumble chatter among the PAX was getting ugly and a new revolution was in the offing as the PAX took a break with lunges after an FNG spilled merlot on the hill.

After a return to the bottom, in commemoration of the evacuation of the troops across the East River we ran to the top of SH a few more times before heading to the rock pile. We did reps of 8 overhead, curls for the girls, skullcrushers and squats repeato until the PAX begged for more running, so up the hill one last time we went. Finished with a Ring of Fire and time was called.

Numberama -14 Namorama – Three FNGs got some good names.

Prayers for our Marines killed in Afghanistan, Nancy’s friend with COVID, and Dracula’s daughter’s knee surgery.
