    I’d like to, I’d like to say something that I’ve prepared tonight. Hello. How ‘bout that ride in? I guess that’s why they call it Sin City. You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. But when my sister brought Doug home, I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack, it grew by one, so where there two, there were two of us in the wolf pack. I was alone first in the wolf pack and Doug joined in later. And six months ago, when Doug introduced me to you guys, I thought “Wait a second, could it be?” And now I know for sure: I just added two more guys to my wolf pack. The four of us wolves, running around the desert together in Las Vegas, looking for strippers and cocaine. So tonight, I make a toast! Blood brothers!

    We showed up, we worked, we conquered and started the morning off right.

  • Buckets of Fun

    YHC decided last minute to pull the plug on SOT Q and stayed close to home with a Satan’s Hill Q. According to the two deer in the parking lot and perhaps Sparky who was warming up his car, it went down like this.

    Warmup: SSH, Deadman hang, imperial walkers, jazzercise, Don Quiote, merkins

    Thang 1: with coupon 3 sets of: 15 curls, 15 overhead press, 15 jerkins

    Thang 2: with coupon 3 sets of: 15 triceps extensions, squats, merkins

    Thang 3: mosey to YHC’s driveway where two 5 gallon buckets of near freezing water awaited. one partner carried the 70+ lb and walked as far as possible while other partner called out an exercise. After 20min and multiple trips up the hill we headed back to the flag.

    YHC took us out, prayers for all the PAX affected by Covid.

    THE THANG :

    Partner up for BOMBS (Honeymoon was odd man out so he joined a group). While one man ran to far end of parking lot and back, the other man did the following (cumulative with your partner)- 50 burpees, 100 Overhead Claps in People’s Chair position, 150 Merkins, 200 Big Boi Situps, 250 squats

    Mosey to rock pile and grab a rock for CPR’s (1 rep = bicep Curl, overhead Press, tricep Raise/extension)

    We did 25 reps

    Put rock back in its natural habitat 

    Burpee mile : All PAX together do 4 sets of : 12 burpees and a 1/4 mile run up Satan’s Hill and back to parking lot

    1 minute of flutter kicks

    DONE

    YHC was able to reconnect with an old childhood friend over a phone call who has been in and out of prison for the past 12 years. He shared his 3rd F testimony with YHC. It was very encouraging.

  • 1st & 10

    COP

    1st & 10 on Satan’s Hill. Picture Satan’s Hill as a football field (Halfway up being the 50 yard line). At the 10 yard line do 10 merkins & 1 burpee, sprint to the top and jog back down to the 20 yard line. Do 9 merkins & 2 burpees then sprint to the top and back down to the 30…..go up by 10 yards each time until you reach the top (finishing with 1 merkin and 10 burpees).

    Going from the parking lot entrance down to the bottom of the hill, Same thing just starting with 1 ball dipper & 10 Squats, sprinting to the bottom and back to the 20 for 2 ball dippers & 9 squats….repeat until done

    Seven studs showed up to take on the New Year and start the first week of the new year in good fashion. YHC was coming off a stellar weekend starting with a Buckeye win in the Sugar Bowl and ending with my beloved Browns ending 18 years of misery and making the playoffs. According to the white Tesla here is what went down.

    COP- 80 SSH’s (yes 80 because Wilson was being a smart ass and 1980 was the year the 8 year old version of YHC fell in love with those Kardiak Kids). 18 each: DQ, Dead man hang, helicopters, imperial walkers. Mosey to top of SH.

    The thang: 4 BIG corners/build a corner 18 WWII’s at first, 2nd corner 18 WWII’s and 18 merkins, 3rd: WWII’s, Merkins, jump squats. 4th PRevious 3 and LBC’s. Repeato 1 more time. Mosey to rock pile. Triple check: Runner, curls, overhead press. Lunge BTF. Time was called.

    Announcements: YHC tried to get 200 posts in 2020 but came about 25 short. YHC is determined to hit that mark in 2021 and encourages others to join.

  • Welcome to Satan’s Hill in New Market – New Years Day Convergence.

    Eight strong men from all over the metro RVA area made their way to Satan’s Hill located in New Market for the New Year Convergence. YHC gets why the turnout was so low. The incredible challenge and skill level to takle Satan’s Hill isnt for everyone. Fortunately for todays PAX, we would visit the hill only once. Please come back as Satan’s Hill is used often!

    Here is how it went down.

    Short COP, make way up Satan’s Hill for the popular Cul De Sack Tour. YHC has struggled to get EVERY one covered in 45 minutes, but with an hour today, YHC took on the challenge.

    At the top of every Sack – 3 burpees then called out exercise at top and bottom. ALL twelve sacks were visited today! Each PAX called out an exercise with only a small bit of confusion when we got to the twins. Show up and you will find out what the twins are. In total ~36 burpees, ~240 exercises and 4.1 miles covered. Great job men!

    Back to the flag for some Mary and a brief explanation of what F3 has meant for you this crazy year! Was great to hear!

    YHC took us out! Special message was hold your loved ones tight. Life happens in a blink of an eye. I am truly thankful for ALL F3 PAX that I have relationships with and looking forward to building relationships with the new PAX!

    Why the video? DTH and I had a quick conversation yesterday concerning Cooper. And while I love Cooper, I imagined him meeting a few of New Markets residents. This was how i imagined the meet & greets to happen. LOL Hopefully DTH will bring Cooper out to an early morning workout when most of NM pups are still sleeping.

  • No burpees, bear crawls, or donkey kicks???

    Decided on my long .5 mile drive this morning that I would try to Q without doing any of my 3 go-to exercises (burpees, bear crawls, or donkey kicks).

    Warm Up

    Did some rounds of Curls, Jerkins, Merkins, Planks, Shoulder Taps. Lots of Arm Circles and some running up Satan’s Hill. Plank jacks and more arm circles. And some other random stuff.

    Ab work for the last 7 minutes.

  • What drives you?

    YHC has had a long work/travel week, but was pleased to be reminded of the Q responsibility at Satan’s Hill. While today’s workout was prep for New Years Day convergence, I started to ponder on what drives us to be better. It is different for all of us. We definately push/pull people along our journey. But what really drives you? No real point other than to really think during these crazy times of what really drives you…………in every aspect of your life. Who/what will you push away? Who/what will you pull in? How can you positively affect someone who pulls you in?

    Oh – we worked out. Had to post to know and show up for New Years Day convergence to know what we are doing!

    And check out what drives the ibex goat to climb a verticle dam……CRAZY!

    A Bit of cool rain greeted the PAX at Satan’s Hill this AM. 5 strong men braved the elements and arose from the fartsack to take on another week. According the the shite Tesla here is what went down.

    Mosey to and fro in parking lot for warm up jog. Circle up. 25 SSH’s and 10 each DQ’s, Jazzercise, helicopters, deadman hang, IW’s, Russian soldiers, Etc.

    The thang: Mosey to rock pile and select your coupon. 1st set 20 each curls, overhead presses, tricep presses then Bernie to top of lot and mosey back. Repeato 3 times. Next set 20 each: Rock squats, rock copters, rows. 3/4 run to top of lot and mosey back. Repeato 3 times. Next set to all 6 exercises with run doubled to stop sign. Repeato x2. Interval 1 minute on 20 seconds off. Ass kickers, High knees, Standing broad jump, Heisman. Repeato twice.

    Prayers and announcements:

    YHC took us out quickly in prayer as the rain started coming down. Way to get it done this morning! It is an honor to lead.
