  • New Market Prison

    A beautiful new week has given birth and the Satan’s hill faithful was ready with a baker’s half dozen in attendance. YHC rolled in the back door to SH having set up the pathway we would be using with some lighting. Lighting was not up to par and Wilson complained of sprained ankles but we soldiered on. According to the white Tesla here is what went down.

    COP- SSHx20, 10 each DQ, Cherry pickers, deadman hang, Helicopters, Merkins, flutters, dollies, Rosalita’s. Mosey to the rock pile.

    Horseshoe: Start with a rock exercise run the show to Wilson’s cup-de-sac do next exercise. Exercises accumulate. 10 Tricep presses, 20 merkins, 30 curls, 40 LBC’s 50 Rock copters, 60 Prom dates.

    Triple Check: Using the same path for the run timers others did curls and overhead presses. Complete and time was called.

    Numberama/Namearama Announcements TYA Thanksgiving day beat down. Black Friday run-a-thon. Good luck to the New Market Marathoners. They launch on Friday! Good luck Marmaduke, Honeymoon and POG!!

    Rosco took us out in prayer.

    Rosco started singing Folsom Prison changed to NM friendly lyrics. It sounded pretty good, you might have a hit. HEnce the BB title. Beavis way to get back and post! Great work gentleman.

  • No I was not.

    YHC arrived to find some the Satan’s Hill faithful and one FNG. Some mumble chatter persisted culminating with the decision to flush your system before or after the workout. Hearing that YHC called for a mosey and according to the white Tesla this is what went down.

    COP: SSH, DQ’s, IW’s, Cherry pickers, Helicopters, Merkins, LBC’s Flutters. And off we went.

    The Thang: Run up to first entrance to first sac. After AGing for the 6, Run to sac end and perform 20 merkins, WWII’s and squats and repeato at starting point. Mosey to next sac. Double sac: perform all 3 exercises at both sacs and starting point (SSHx20, IWx20, Russian soldiersx20). Mosey to the next sac, continue mosey to a cinder block pile in front of new construction. Cindy’s triple check: block curl, block press, running to end of sac. Head BTTF while stopping at each intersection and doing first set of exercises. Wilson shouted 2 minutes and YHC called hustle BTF. Everyone received a bonus minute.

  • This will be FUN!!

    YHC rode down Satan’s hill to find a PAX of one (Rosco), but fear not Rosetta and Hermie soon joined. Hot Potato Q. YHC pulled the last shift. YHC was not happy as he knew he would have to write BB and knew he had not time. Hence the lateness of BB. “I don’t feel tardy”. According to the white Tesla here is what went down.

    COP- We did several exercises and stretches.

    Hermie- Mosey to front of the HErmie mansion. Grab pumpkins. Perform exercise with said pumpkin while partner ran up and down “Deadman’s Hill” Deadman’s hill is other side of hood and kid’s in hood have given said name. 5 sets of various exercises including curls, overhead press, pumpkin copters, etc. Scramble for Q. Again I wanted it so I did not have to write BB. Rosetta stated “I have something Fun!”

    Rosetta- Jacob’s ladder up previously mentioned hill with Burpees on the ends starting at 1 ending at 5. That was not fun ROSETTA!!.

    YHC- Mosey back starting at 5 and moving to 10, 15 , 20 etc. PAX calls out exercise and perform escalating number of exercise at each mailbox. We hit 85 on th last box and time was called.

    All PAX together jog up Satan’s hill then back to parking lot for an exercise. Repeato for as many exercises as possible. 

    1st exercise – 30 overhead rock presses

    2nd exercise- 40 four count flutters

    3rd exercise- 25 rock thrusters 

    4th exercise- 30 rock curls

    5th exercise- 40 four count American hammers

    6th exercise- 50 rock squats

    7th exercise- 20 rock tricep extensions

    8th exercise- 25 WWII’s while holding rock

    (Time was running out so we did our

    Jog halfway up Satan’s hill for the last exercise)

    9th exercise – 20 double count ball dippers

    DONE

    COT :

    YHC loves the rocks and hill at this AO. Hard to beat the easy access to coupons and a long hill to make your Q’s challenging.

    Word in the neighborhood was that it was cold and wet. The weatherman was wrong, as it turned out to be 70 degrees and sunny in the gloom! 4 bootcampers and 2 runners enjoyed the sunshine. Mosey to the top of the hill for:

    COP

    20 Side Straddle Hop, 10 Jazzercise, 10 Don Quixote, 10 Collard Pickers, 10 Russian Soldiers, 10 Low Scissor, 10 High Scissor, 10 Merkins, recover.

    THE THANG #1

    Four corners NASCAR style (run fast, turn left): 10 Shoulder Tap Merkins, 20 2-count Flutter Kicks, 30 Carolina Dry Docks, 40 Monkey Humpers, plank for the six. Mosey back down the hill to the rock pile. Grab a coupon and partner up for:

    Time for a Dora: partner 1 runs to playground to do 5 pull ups. partner 2 does exercises: 100, 200, 300

    Still more time so we did a run up the hill with Bernie, merkins and catch me if you can. Then 4 minutes of Mary.

  • Deja vu in SOJ

    2 Regulars and YHC came out once again on foggy morning in SOJ as YHC wrapped up is week long trip south of the wall.

    This how it went down

    Warm Up – Tried to mosey around the trail next to parking lot but quickly learned it was to dark and the trail wasn’t finish. Just turned back around

    COP (ALL IC) – SSH, DQ, Hillbillies, LBC’s, Alternating Shoulder Taps, HRM’s, Heels to Haven, Arm Circles

    THANG

    Jacob’s Ladder – Starting at the fire hydrant run up Satan’s hill complete 1 Burpee. Run down and back up for 2 Burpees. Rinse and Repeat till we reached 6

    Mosey back to the parking lot

    Triple Check – Grab a coupon. Bernie Sanders across the parking lot/run back, Sit-up + Press, and Curls

    Escalating 4×4 – Run to one side of the parking lot complete 2 4×4’s, run back to the other side complete 4 4×4’s. Rinse and Repeat till completed 8

    Triple Check – Lunge to the first curb then run back, Sit-Up + Press, and Curls

    YHC as enjoyed posting for the first time at each of the AO in SOJ this past week. After today, YHC is offically over the hump for his Q4 Tour (16 down / 14 To Go).

    Great mumble chatter with Rosetta this morning about running in HS. Turns out both of us ran cross country and compete against Alan Webb (who was the top distance run in VA during the early 2000’s and competed in the Olympics).

    1st exercise – 20 ball dippers (right side then left side equals 1 rep)

    2nd exercise- 50 Merkins 

    3rd exercise- 30 four count flutters

    4th exercise- 25 squat jumps

    5th exercise- 25 Tricep extensions using rock

    6th exercise- 30 four count American hammers

    7th exercise- 40 squats while holding rock

    8th exercise- 30 overhead rock presses

    DONE (PAX covered 2.85 miles of running today)

    Great to have Spit join us today from north side. Not surprised to see him crush the workout based on the backblasts I see from him. 

    Prayers for Marmaduke’s in-laws. Both of them have been hospitalized from Covid. 

    Prayers for Rosco’s family as they mourn the passing of his MIL. She just recovered from Covid but 29 hours later she passed away after returning home. 

    Prayers for YHC’s sister-in-law down in Florida as their family mourns the passing of her father from Covid.

  • Rainy day with wilson

    YHC arrived to AO passing Wilson on the way. YHC drove the short distance due to he would return to home for a Peleton ride if their was no PAX.
    COP we warmed up.
    thang run work out, cinder bocks and a lot of other stuff.
    YHC appreciates Wilson pushing him today. Nice work.

    One man jogs up Satan’s hill while other man performs an AMRAP workout. Switch places when partner returns from jog. 

    1st exercise – ball dippers (side note : the joggers carried their rocks with them for this first round of jogging)

    2nd exercise- Merkins 

    3rd exercise- flutters

    4th exercise- squat jumps

    5th exercise- Tricep extensions using rock

    6th exercise- American hammers

    7th exercise- squats while holding rock

    8th exercise- rock bicep curls

    9th exercise- WWII’s

    DONE (each PAX covered 2.5 miles of running today)

  • Three’s company!

    A company of three reported to Satan’s hill in this mornings gloom to get a little better. According to a few drive by’s here is how it went down.

    Mosey a bit to get warm. COP 25 SSH’s, 10 each: DQ’s, cherry pickers, deadman hangs, helicopters, Imperial walkers. Mosey up the hill. 4 stops on the way to pile of blocks. Each stop 25 each Merkins, WWII’s and squats. Arrive at pile of blocks. 4×25 each curls, overhead press, block copters, and bent rows. 4 rounds of this. Switch to 4×25 curls, press, lat raises and triceps. The lat raises were a bad call as they hurt something good. 4 corners the way back with 25 each Drydocks, LBC’s and IW’s at each stop. Hustle BTTF
