  • Buehler, Buehler, Anybody, Anybody…

Tunnel Vision was lonely this morning, with only 1. But I continued the 55 theme with:

5 Burpees at each light in the tunnel (25), 4 Corners of 25: Dips, WWIIs, Calf Raises and Squats with 5 Burpees in the center.

Picnic tables for a Lindsay: Dips and Step Ups. Some Abs: 55 WWIIs, 55 American Hammers, then 55 of a mixture ofHeals to Heaven/Irish Hammers.

Back through the tunnel for: 5 Burpees, 10 Irish Hammers, 20 Merkins, 25 Heals, 50 American Hammers.

  • Heartbreak 55

12 of us enjoyed a Heartbreak 55 this AM. It was the Q’s 55th so we did…well, 55 of things. After warm up:

Playground for three rounds of 5 Pull Ups, Decline Merkins and Incline Merkins. Then 5 Burpees before a modified 55 Lindsay (40 Step Ups and 15 Dips, up and down by 10). Then another 5 Burpees before a break.

Ab “break” was 50 WWIIs with 5 Irish Hammers, and 50 Side Crunches with 5 Irish Hammers. Add 10 Burpees

Starfish of 4 corners (50 Side Straddle Hops, 50 Calf Raises, 50 Leg Pumps and 50 Squats), with 5 Burpees in the center after each corner.

Final exercise was a mosey up the hill for 5 Burpees, back down, then Bear Crawl up the hill for 5 Burpees. Should total 55 Burpees for the morning 🙂

  • High 5

We had a 5 theme going on at Grid Iron. 5 goals scored with US 4, Paraguay 1…and this is the Q’s Bday week turning 55.

After warm up, headed to field. Stopped for 5 Burpees. Then completed 5 sets of 11 (Merkins, Diamonds, Staggard Arm Left and Right, and Wide Grip). 5 more Burpees.

Took a “break” with Abs. 5 sets of 50 (WWIIs, Crunches, Flutters, and 25 Side Crunches). 5 Burpees.

4 Corners with 5 Burpees in the center (25 total) and 50 at each corner (Carolina’s, Calf Raises, Imperial Walkers, Side Straddle Hops). More abs with 50 Partner Leg Tosses (30 and 20). 5 Burpees as we left the field.

Picnic Benches for 50 Step ups and 50 Dips (broken in to 30 and 25). To playground for 5 Burpees, Ring of Fire with 5 Merkins, and another “break” with same 5 Ab exercises of 50 (WWIIs, Crunches, Flutters, and 25 Side Crunches). Finished with 5 Burpees (55 total for the day).

Rumor has it…4th of July Convergence at Grid Iron???

  • 2 Clydesdales and a Jockey

Three of us posted this morning (Attila, Wojo and Tater) and for some unknown reason the title of the Back Blast became apparent after the Q may have been running a little too fast for the pax 🙂

After warmup we integrated a new 12-sided die in a mosey around the AO, with each side representing a different exercise. So much fun.

First stop- rolled Dips three times, so 10, 20, then 30.

Second stop- 4 Corners and we rolled: 10 Diamonds, 10 Merkins, 10 Lunges, 10 Dips…but after each exercise we had 10 Burpees in the center (50 total).

Third stop- An Ab break: 10 WWIs, 20 WWIIs, 30 Crunchy, 40 Side Crunches, 50 American Hammers, and 60 second plank

Through the Tunnel with 5 stop of what the die told us…10 Squats.

A double Triple-Triple check rolling the die for new exercises each round in addition to a run (Carolinas, Lunges, Squats, High Knees, Crunches, Deep Squats). Second Triple Check was on playground for Pull-Ups, Dips, and Step-Ups.

  • Turf Field Audible

Six posted at Grid Iron this AM and after our first exercise of cleaning up the parking of trash (darn kids), and our brief warm up, we voted to stay dry (no actual Grid Iron) and took a mosey to turf fields.

On the way over we paused for some Squats, followed by a Lindsey of Dips and Steps Ups. Then to the field for 2 rounds of 4 corners:10 Merkins each corner, then round two had 20 different exercises at each corner (Carolina Dry Docks, Squats, Lunges, WWIIs).

A ”Tame Beast” (less running with just one direction down the field) came next with 6 stops of:

    • 6 Merkins, 6 Carolina Dry Docks, 6 Side Crunches each side, 6 Squats, 6 Lunges, and finally 6 Burpees.

    Ab Break next:

    • 10 Irish Hammers, 20 WWIIs, 30 Crunches, 40 Side Crunches, 50 2 count American Hammers…then 50 two count Flutter Kicks, 40 Crunchy Frogs, 30 Heals to Heaven, 20 Dolly’s, 10 WWIs

Left field and stopped by benches for: 10 Decline Merkins, 20 Dips, and 30 Incline Merkins. Repeat.

Playground for: 15 Head-Shoulder-Knees, 15 Muhammed Ali’s, 30 Air Presses and Toes, 2 sets of 10 Mike Tysons and 2 sets of 20 Pole Smokers.

    Stretch…and we’re done 🙂

  • Foggy Tunnel

4 of the usuals made it through the fog and posted at The Tunnel. After an extended warm up of stretching, we had an incremental Burpee walk through the tunnel (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5) to warm up.

Next was The Tunnel’s version of 4 Corners with 25 Dips, WWIIs, Squats, and Carolina Dry Docks…with 25 Burpees sprinkled in between the corners.

Headed to pavilion for 25 two count Step Ups, Dips, and Derkins. Then a Polar Bear Crawl through the parking lot and a mosey back for a series of Abs (25 Irish Hammers, 25 Rosalitta/Dollys, 25 Heals, and 25 Side Crunches).

    A little more stretching…and we’re done.

  • Green Gate Gauntlet

We ventured off campus this morning through the Green Gate Gauntlet…10 Merkins per light post, 25 WWIIs and Carolina Dy Docks if light wasn’t working.

Arrived at Green Gate for Triple Check of: Lunges, Squats and Runs. Went around the corner in front of the exercise studio for a series Heals to Heaven, Crunchy Frogs, American Hammers, and Irish Hammers. Around the corner for another Triple Check of: Merkins, Carolina Dry Docks, and Runs.

Headed back to AO with a new set of exercises every light post: 10 Copper Head Squats, 10 Lunges each leg, 10 two-count Ukranians, 10 Squats, then a series of 1, 2, 3, and 4 Burpees.

Finished with our 3rd Triple Check of Crunchy Frogs, Heels to Heaven, and a Run.

  • Grid Iron’s NFL Draft

Celebrated the NFL’s 91st draft by heading to the Grid Iron for:

      • 4.46 40 yard dash (Bear Crawl for 40 yards)

Took a “break” with Abs (American Hammers, Irish Hammers, Side Crunches), then the Grid Iron 91 March with 10 exercises every 10 yards and another round of Abs (American Hammers, Irish Hammers, Flutter Kicks, Heels to Heaven, and more)

  • TJ3

Seven of us posted at The Deep to celebrate our 3rd President’s BDay, Mr. Thomas Jefferson. So we did plenty of Triple Checks.

Grinder-Triple Check of Mike Tyson’s, Burpees, and a run up the hill.

Triple Check of Dips, Step-Ups and Derkins

Triple Check of Wide Grip Merkins, Lunges, and a lap around the track

Took a break with 10 Irish Hammers, 20 WWIIs, 30 Crunch Frogs, and 40 Side Crunches.

Ended with a Ring of Fire with 3 of your favorite Merkins.

  • The Deep’s History Lesson

April 6. This date in history…

1924: 4 planes went around the globe, so we went around the school, stopping at every door for 4 Merkin variations.

1917: US entered WWI. So we did 19 American Hammers and 17 WWIs

1948: Soviets marked the undisputed attainment of the North Pole, so 19 Dips and 48 Step Ups

1909: Peary claimed to reach the North Pole, so 9 runs up the hill (5 forward and 4 Bernie’s)

1896: First modern Olympics, so we did a Triple Check of Track and Field (Jog around the track), Cycling (Freddie Mercury), and Wrestling (Carolina Dry Docks)

1939: Royal Huddleston Burpee Sr created the Burpee, so we did Burpees every other pole on the colonnade (about 20). Actually it wasn’t this date, but I like doing Burpees. 🙂

Finished off with Abs by the American Flag. American Hammers, Heals to Heaven, Irish Hammers and Flutter Kicks
