  • Tracer Rounds

    BB title is self-explanatory.

Nobody on the Q sheet this morning, so hot potato it is. Temps coming down but the humidity remains. Nice, steady burn this morning. I like hot potato bootcamps because you get a lot of different flavors, not too much of any one style.

YHC started things off. Mosey to the basketball courts.

Helicopters, Andy Dufresne, dead man hang, wife stretches, sit and reach, butterfly stretch, merkins, LBCs, copperhead squats. PR out.

Chaplain in. Mosey to the concessions stand where “the wall of death” waited for the PAX.

20 dirty hookups, 20 chicken pickers single count (balls to the wall w/ shoulder taps), 20 donkey kicks, 20 Wallabama prom dates (APDs w/ feet flat on the wall), 20 wall jump & slaps. Mosey to the park loop and back to the wall of death. Three rounds.

House Party time! Mosey to the wet baseball fields. 7 of diamonds. Run the bases w/ exercises at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and home. Forgive my recall here. 7 hand release merkins assuring all PAX had a wet front, 14 LBCs assuring 360° of PAX dampness, 21 um, I don’t recalls, 28 SSHs, last round was a sprint around the bases.

Time for some Pierogi. I don’t know what to say. He had us do a bunch of strange plyometric stuff around the bases, like karaoke w/ extra hip action, and some other strange things he probably learned during his time as an elite runner. Finished with some nice stretches. It was tough.

Time to climb into the Big Rig. Mosey BTTF. 15 merkins along the way, maybe some other stuff too. BR called several exercises once we circled up at the flag. Flutters, LBCs, V-ups, lay on your side and raise your leg, rotating if clockwise then counterclockwise. Switch sides. Then some kind of modified Suzanne Somers, once again on each side. These were tough. Strengthened/exhausted my hips.

    Time called.

Names, numbers, announcements. Check slack, lots of social and OTB stuff going on. Don’t miss out!

Big Rig took us out. Prayers for BR’s mother, awaiting scans. Thanks for our blessings, and prayers to help us be the men our families and communities need and deserve. Prayers for students, teachers, and staff as we return to the school grind.

I almost fartsacked this morning. I do regret fartsacking sometimes, but I NEVER regret posting. Thanks for joining me to do hard things. Have a fantastic weekend!

  • It’s good to be wanted

Had to take a few weeks off to focus on the bike, but I know by Heist’s and Nancy’s onerous mumblechatter that they missed me. Luckily I was able to wake up today in time to show up to my own Q at Satan’s Hill…

What a morning! guess all this rain has some benefit. LFG! Up the hill to (didnt know at the time) Rosetta’s front yard for a lot of SSH’s and stretching of limbs. Back down the hill to scoop up Oyster.

    Partner up! Gauntlet time

2 burpees to enter (thx Woodsman) followed by 10 banded merkins, 10 squat thrusters, 10 curls, 10 banded squats, 10 overhead press. Upon exit, run up the hill and back. P1 has a band around their waste, P2 pulls on it as they go up the hill. rotate each time up the hill.

Ring of fire to finish it off.

    Thanks Heist for the coffee!

Announcement: We are moving Timberwolf to WEDNESDAY beginning 9/2. Thursday will now be an open day for OTB moving forward in SOS and those looking for a bootcamp can head up to the Forge

  • How do we get back?

Four posted on this Thursday in Rutland to run and ruck. One runner joined the lone rucker, so that left groups of 2 to run and ruck. The runners ran past Starbucks then around Atlee to Taylor Farm and back for 4.8 miles.

COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, Opus took us out.

    NMS:

It was hot and humid this morning. YHC felt that BAM! and YHC would have probably gone up to 30 seconds faster per mile if it was mid October weather.

During the COT, it was mentioned how directions with some of the ruckers upon their return to the VSF can be challenging. Sometimes, GPS is needed. That’s how I feel when I post at RAMM. I’ve been going there for 10 years but still need constant directions as to where I am going. I guess that is how it is for some of the ruckers.

    Announcements:

Look at Corned Beef’s post about the Meal Train for Speakeasy and his family.

Good luck to Tater as he goes to party with the Lil’ Taters from the weekend.
