Five gathered for a Wednesday run and bootcamp interwind all together in the cool October air. Our hero Pigskin gave blood this week and decided he would take it easy and stay watch over the flag while the remaining four took off in the dark. Here is the thang: Mosey towards West Broad Village, stop after half mile for warm up. Circle up, disclaimers, and 10 SSH, 10 Don Q’s, 20 LBCs, 10 Merkins. Four Horsemen Pestilence, War, Famine and Death are the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Today, Pinto, Whitesnake, Lighthouse and Pigskin, the 4 Horsemen of WaThoHuk, invaded Whitesnake’s neighborhood. Unfortunately, the neighborhood’s sprinklers were on and there were scary Halloween decorations including a 12-foot tall Skeleton. So instead of bringing the Apocalypse, we brought 15 Merkins and 15 Freddy Mercurys to each Cul de Sac. That kept the sprinklers in their place, although they did threaten us by spitting streams of water to keep us off the lawns. Having laid waste to the Cul de Sacs, we left the neighborhood and returned…

A beautiful morning at WTH, the best 5:30am Wednesday workout in Westhoe. According to all the ATM machines we ran by, we did something like the following: Ran to the Wells Fargo at Pump and Three Chopt. Did some warmups in the parking lot that I was able to block off with cones and some ride from the State Fair. We then ran to the parking lot off Westgate for 11s of merkins and jump squats. We needed help counting and having German on one end and Spanish on the other did not do the trick. We then headed to…

7 brave brothers showed up in the gloom to do the work this morning, One downrange F3 brother from Charlotte area, Two Timer, We always enjoy seeing new brothers. Hers what went down. We headed out from flag towards pump to a spot that we have only hit once before, Three Notch town homes for some 11’s. YHC didnt remember how long the road was and after 30 mins we had only completed 5 rounds of Merkins and Jump squats while covering 2.6 miles already. Recognizing time was a problem and distance two great we switched to a triple check…

It was a dark and misty morning, but that didn’t deter five brothers from showing up, ready to tackle a mix of bootcamp and running. The day began with a run down Three Chopt Road, the mist adding an eerie charm to the usual gloom. Despite the conditions, we managed to cover a solid 3.6 miles over the course of the workout. Once we reached the end of the road, we jumped right into the first triple check. Hand Release Merkins, LBCs, and some running. With that in the books, we moved on to the second triple check. This time,…

Today was (Alice) Cooper day. I warned the Pax that today would suck and I delivered! School is no longer Out for Summer which means cooler weather which was welcomed. We first ran to the Gazebo and did warmups of IW, Ukrainian Soldiers, DQ, LBCs and Merkins. Then we ran past the Golf Galaxy and deep into the bowels of the newest West Broad Village development. As if we were Caught in a Dream. Here is where we did a running version of the Cooper-Welcome to My Nightmare: 10 Burpees, 10 Squats, 10 Merkins and then a lap around a…

The heat and humidity were no joke as four of us gathered for a Wednesday morning beatdown. Three regulars were joined by a guest visiting from Charlotte. We went to the lake, cranking out loops with breaks for some upper-body and core work: 20 Derkins, 20 Dips, and 20 Heels to Heaven. Our Charlotte guest, not typically a runner, pushed hard and felt the burn but finished strong, winded yet satisfied with the effort. In total, we knocked out a solid 3.8 miles. Great work, fellas! Sorry for the delay on the backblast. SYITG

6 faithful gathered this cool morning and got our steps in today. Living up to the running boot camp we covered 3.73 miles today. We ran to our popular neighborhood and hit the Cul-De-Sacs. First few we did 15 Merkins and 15 LBCs, at each Cul-De-Sac, then headed back to the flag we arrived with 3 minutes left so we added one more set.. 165 merkins, 165 LBCs completed with @4 miles run. A good day to workout! Reminders of 10 year anniversary coming up check slack for all the details, closed in prayer and off to start the day!

EF Hutton got his Summer Tour point today and got to enjoy the aroma of Short Pump dog park. He came from Broga, so his odor might have nothing to do with the fine aged urine we ran by this morning. We ran 3.35 miles total today, did 11’s of Derkins and Dips and one round of running the bases with the home plater timer doing 10 burpees and exercises at each base of WW2, Squats and Flutters. The backblast title is the text I got from Hutton during his drive home. Labor Day convergence at Nuckols Farm Elementary at…
