With plenty of time to spare before the arrival of two 2.0s, Ripcord came out to enjoy today’s run. YHC chose a route to hit some of the streets that we never cover: Stuart and Park. East on Grove, left on Nansemond, right on Stuart. 4s turn left on Davis, 5s on Meadow, and 6s go Linden with all three distances coming back on Park. Take a left on Rosneath and back to Grove to the AO. Ripcord took us out.

YHC did not sign up to Q, but YHC made a suggestion on a possible route and that turned into the Q… Someone said flat, someone said it’s December, and YHC did a quick math equation and spit out the answer. The answer was run down Monument because it is flat and look at the Christmas lights because it’s December. YHC believes it was Wedding Singer that said the route looks like the big dipper with everyone coming back down Grove after heading out down Monument. Pun intended, because the stars aligned and as YHC and Handshake were heading down…

Nine lunar zealots plus two in search of blinking red lights convened via multiple parking spots for a variation of an oldie. Most everyone listened and followed the instructions that started with East on Grove: 4s & 6s right on Sheppard5s right on boulevard everyone south on boulevard4s right on Grant5s right on Douglasdale6s do the pump house loop then left on DouglasdaleRight on McCloyLeft on Cary Numbers, names, and YHC took us out. Moleskin I am sitting here in the early am, unable to sleep, trying to think of something witty to write as part of a backblast. As…

RAMM was Q-less this morning. Hitchhiker suggested the Patterson route as follows: Grove -> Three Chop -> St. Christoper -> Patterson -> Common Wealth (4 Milers) or N Thompson (6 Milers) Happy Birthday, Saab! Prayers for Marv’s father’s health and Hitchhiker’s father-in-law’s quick recovery from COVID-19. Bootleg took us out!

10 Pax launched at various times, with various distances, and from multiple locations; but they all converged at the end. Routes varied, but here is one used by the 530 crowd. West on Grove, right on Libbie, right on Patterson, right on Malvern, right on Grove. aka the Zoolander route. YHC took us out. While everyone ran alone or in pairs, it was great to converge at the end to catch up and some levity (as always). YHC’s 2.0 enjoyed the run today and we hope to see him back out soon.

Ocho Pax undaunted by a little rain embarked on a stroll down Hanover to take in the light tour. East on Grove, cutting over to Hanover on Thompson. 4s turn on Shields and 5s on Vine heading south to Floyd. Return back on Floyd and pick up Grove. YHC took us out.

A dozen plus additional bikers out on the road arrived for this week’s installment. Trying to find visual relief from the stadium lights, the Pax assembled in the shadows of the trees prior to launch. East on Grove and north on Lafayette, and east on Monument. 4s turn right on Sheppard, 5s on Strawberry, and 6s on Lombardy. All pick up Hanover for the western return, jumping over to Grove at Thompson. Bodos took us out. Congratulations to Pigskin for a successful Fleed to Bleed. Well done!

We ran around Mary. Watch the traffic circles.

Perfect weather for a run or ride this morning. After some mild confusion on the new RAMM flag location we were off. Windsor Farms big loop: South on Commonwealth, cross Cary to Berkshire and follow Berkshire in loop through Windsor Farms. Berkshire becomes Sulgrave briefly, then Canterbury. Canterbury to Cary, cross Cary and head north on Malvern. Malvern north across Grove and Patterson, almost to Monument. Left on Wythe Ave. 4’s – Wythe to a left on Chantilly then left on Grove and back to the flag 5’s – Wythe to a left on Willow Lawn Drive, left on Patterson,…

A baker’s dozen and then some (18) stallions started the mile-a-day October challenge with success! North on Commonwealth, left on Broad. 4s take a left on Willow Lawn Dr to Patterson, head east to Commonwealth and back to the VSF. 5s take Broad to Libbie, take a left to Grove and back on Grove. 6s take a right on Staples Mill, left on Bethlehem, left on Libbie, and a left on Grove. Marv took us out. Moleskin: This route took us past Krispy Kreme where the air was full of the fragrance of doughnuts. Depending on the route, one may…
