2 River Run regulars posted on this most excellent morning for running. Others were likely out traveling for the Summer Tour. No Q, No Worries. A Platoon of SOJ Roadrunners, 9 to be exact, posted to BWES to feel the warmth of RVA and get it all out! Route explained: Up Twin Team (but of course) to East Brigstock. 6 milers take E. Brigstock all the way to Winterfield (road does change to Netherfield for last 3/4 of mile) and back. 5 milers, E. Brigstock all the way till road name change, and back. 4 milers to bend in road, approx .5 miles, past Lake Patrick Henry, and back. SOJ celebrated our F3RVA Field Day 2019 Championship in style this morning. The route was the Tarrington Loop. Those finishing first, circle back UP Twin Team to meet up with the 6. The entire PAX arrived back to the VSF with 5 min left, so an audible was called to circle the school. With 2 min left, the PAX assembled for a brief COP: 20 SSH, 20 Imperial Walkers. 9 men rolled in to BWES to start their work-week with some RiverRun miles. YHC grabbed the Q late last night and had a little something different planned today…a little ball on a chain. The “Chain” for today was the nearly 1-mile trek from BWES up Twin Team Hill (pause for groans…) and into Powderham. The “Ball” was a 1-mile loop around Drakewood, Glendower, Ellesmere, Drakewood. 5 strong roll out for another fantastic sunny and 70 day Up the roller coaster in 23 minutes back in 22. As simple as that! Moleskin Bullseye was on fire today, disappeared out of sight on the way up the hill and caught YHC with a mile to go on the way back. Gumbo did as Gumbo does and powered through, Rosie effortlessly jogs by with easy chatter at the end of 5.19 and Doozy brought up the 6 with the support of Bullseye. Did I mention he was on fire! 5 of the usual suspects arrived in the gloom with a little drizzle to find no one with a plan on where to go and only one Game of Thrones fan looking for someone to talk to.
