30 minute trail run prior to Rock N Roll

YHC was flying solo this morning and decided to do an AMRAP session with Merkins and Cindy Curls. YHC fell well short of the mark he set during the S.E.A.L fitness test a couple weeks ago and State Farm reminded him that having a PAX right next to you going tit for tat, will push you to different levels. 2 Early birds got up and got some worms in another edition of Premature Acceleration. Rosie was looking to test our fitness in preparation for Grow Ruck next week. Did a little warm up run, then 2 minutes to complete 40 hand release merkins, then a quick mosey to rest up to do 50 WW2s in 2 minutes. Then the final test before the TWO Bootcamp Beatdowns was to complete 2 miles in 18:30. Glad to see Rosie come out and push us with this fitness test. 2 SOJ insomniacs raised the bar, or rose to the bar for another 5am pull up session. We’re getting stronger and improving form as the Murph quickly approaches. May 25th at Rocknroll. We did some hollow rocks, a pull up pyramid, some EMOM sets as well as some toes to bar. YHC needs to work on the rocking motion for doing toes to bar. Early morning… Clouds were still out and the fields getting ready. 6 of us ventured on another adventure thru the trails and woods. A little exploring around, taking the reverse way on a few parts plus venturing on the trails from last time. We stopped back at the flag, almost 3 miles and 50 minutes(I can’t believe I thought I had some time left on my Garmin and no it said no more juice. Time to prep for the main workout….

Boberry, and YHC both had a busy day ahead of us but we decided to make sure we still got 1% better with another version of Premature Acceleration. YHC and Big Rig cruised a solid 3 mile route around Ecoff Park. Good convo and a brisk pace to help us warm up for our SEAL training test. My bulky ass headlamp fell off and busted – in the market for a new one! DM me if you have extra 🙂

10 Morning Wood ruckers burdened with over 400 pounds of steel and sand embraced a beautiful morning on the Rockwood back trails. Big Rig forgot his ruck and opted (like the warrior he is!) to carry all 60 pounds of Sandy for the 55 minute, 2.8 miles. Mudslide was kind enough to lead the PAX along a quaint lakeside trail and we enjoyed deep conversation and a purple orange sunrise over the misted lake. 4 Early Risers made it out for what will now be known as Premature Acceleration. Starting at 5am, we hit the streets of Mayfair Estates. Lots of chatter on many topics this morning. Consensus of the group was PapaJohns is the best national pizza chain. YHC likes Marco’s out of the chains, but was told they are regional. The book 1984 makes Heist cringe. YHC and Big Rig met up for another edition of the Morning Wood Pull-up parade! We are both preparing for the memorial day Murph (and maybe doing 1,000 pullups in a day some day?). 3 of F3’s hardest working men got out to do some extra, extra credit. 5am rolled around and we hit the mean streets of North Chesterfield. Big Rig gave Swoop, and State Farm a tour of the neighborhood. We ran down Courthouse to the Providence Hood, YHC’s digs, and the elementary school.
