For the 5 pax present to launch at the regularly scheduled time QIC wanted to explore a different turn off a familiar route. What’s to the right on Douglasdale? Hills and a guard post is the answer. The route: Commonwealth across Cary to Berkshire bear right as it becomes Sulgrave. Left on Marston to Gun Club. Right Queen Charlotte. Right Portland to Douglasdale. 4 milers turn back at Douglasdale. Route continues RIGHT on Douglasdale. Right on Loch Lomond Ct cul-de-sac and right on Douglasdale again. Down the hill to say hi to the guard at the post before the quarry.…

What a great day for a run! The 530 crew were few in numbers, but mighty in spirit with most Pax choosing the 500 option. Plenty of two wheeled Pax out today as well. The Route West on Grove and a right on Bunting. As one progresses North, dogleg to the right and the road transitions to Chantilly and Maywill. Take a right on Westmoreland and return to the AO. For extra mileage add the left on Jacque, right on Dabney/Malvern to Grove. Moleskin One of the best parts of running from this AO is the conversation one has with…

RAMM had 17 post this morning for a morning run. YHC as part of the DaVille Takeover for this Friday had posted 2 routes on slack a 5 and 6 mile route. The shorter distance runners modified the 5 mile route and logged in about 4.5 miles as they were having good convo and missed a turn. Some runners started at 5am so they logged 5 – 6 miles. The five mile route was actually just under 4.86 miles. This was a simple route Commonwealth to Broad to Libbie to grove to AO. Marv ran the 6 mile route (Take…

14 men of F3 arrived at Ramm. A few were early to get in the extra miles for BRR training. Some in search of Humidity and at least 1 upset that FacePlant and Bodo’s didn’t include him in the plans for matching outfits. Today, the original first route at Ramm. We may need Bleeder, BT, Swirley or Lugnut to confirm. The out and back, which YHC runs the most. The out and back: Left on GroveLeft on Three ChoptRight on St. Andrews Lane to the end of the Cul-de-sac and back to the Flag for 4.5s: continue back turning around…

The first day of July welcomed the bliss of summer humidity. Lots of bikers joined the runners today. Lockjaw unveiled a new route for the 6s, but none of them showed. Next time….. Announcement – July 4 convergence at 0700 at Bateau. Meet at the old stone house.

A bunch of bikers and a separate group of runners joined for another rendition of a RAMM/RAMM Gears, Amateur Day. YHC isn’t sure where the runners were seeing as they launched at various times but RAMM Gears did the Reverse Carillion route with a few additional laps around the lakes. Whitesnake takes the price for most crazy bike/outfit/ensemble. He was dressed as the kid from ET and he had ET riding in the basket on the front of the bike. Announcements – The Bridge Q tomorrow for TYA. Anyone that wants to Clown Car with him should give him a…

17 strong posted on another steamy morning to run and cycle some miles. Route – serpentine. Zig zag back and forth, parallel to Grove, between Hamilton and Shadwell/alley deadend, running on Hanover, Stuart, Kensington and Leonard. 4s turn home on Westmoreland, 5s on Woodlawn, 6s finish at Hamilton back up to Grove and home. In honor of our brother Lab Rat, who invented this route many years ago. It’s a pleasant, no hill, low traffic route and if you need to cut off early, you’re always near the school. SOJ takeover continues through the weekend. Backblast title was in reference…

Beautiful morning for a run through the Fan. Stuart and Floyd were our main arteries. Great mumble chatter in the group. YHC took us out.

Twelve pavement (!pickle) pounders gathered at various times for various routes for today’s RAMM. Several of us started early, several of us started late, but we all finished on-time. There were a few pooches out there too panting and loving the heat. YHC, Fico and, Bodos went out on Grove towards the Fan and back for about 5 miles. The conversation was good, we talked about classic movies from the 80s and 90s, and college roommates turned runners. There was a Saab sighting as well in the wee hours of the morning running shirtless up and down Grove. Rumor has it that he was running since mid-night. Good luck to all the racers this…
