Betty Weaver Elementary

As BRR approaches 4 pavement pounders headed out toward Gumbo’s house on a rollercoaster of fun.  The route was the Rollercoaster into River Downs, back to Gumbo’s cul-de-sac and back home.  Add hills where desired to double back or cut short as needed. Had YHC listened to the latest podcast before the run I may have backed off and and talked to Lugnut about the tactical driving experience.  I have not made it through the whole thing but the first half created a lot of questions I wish I had before the run.  Wedding Singer is ready for the BRR,…

3 BRR trainees posted at RiverRun for some early week hills on a sunny and 70 morning. The route is the standard Riverton into Tarrington, Ashwell Loop down Twin Team.  Only this time instead of adding a loop around the school, add Twin Team until time is up.  Unfortunately we only got 1 time up Twin Team before it was time to head back to the VSF. Quick countarama/namearama to get the PAX off on their day. We almost lost EF Hutton in a hole coming through the gap in the woods.  It was a new location Honeymoon had found.…

Five strong mosey into the gloom for what was intended to be a rather simple loop. The Thang The traditional route through Tarrington with the 5 milers making the loop and 4 milers proceeding immediately up “pain in the Ashwell hill”.  Turn left on Robious and right on Ellesmere.  Follow to Brigstock and turn RIGHT.  Left onto Twin Team and back to Bettie Weaver. Moleskin With the SOJ crew spread across the AO’s YHC was not expecting a large turnout today on the home turf. YHC was pleasantly surprised however to see Phonics and Lab Rat at the AO.   After learning the mighty…

Four BRR participants showed up this morning knowing that something big lies ahead in 5 weeks. YHC showed up, pedal to the metal after getting out of bed at 0508. Honeymoon asked who had the Q and YHC responded, well I think its time to get started anyway. Audible called by the PAX. Reverse Twin Team route!! Slightly behind schedule we were off. Twin Team Hill at 0540 is NO JOKE!! Lug did 4 mile route and Honeymoon, Flatline, and Wedding Singer ran 5 mile route. And, at the end, the PAX all finished together. Solid run this morning men.…

6 total for a stroll in the dark after a night of big storms. 5:30am we took off as normal to do a little BRR hill repeat work as we all know BRR is in the mountains! Ran about 1.6miles to the magic spot to start the hill repeats where some got 2 or 3 rounds in before picking their path back to the AO.  We might have loss the “6” but thanks to Bleeder and “Fine my Phone” we quickly all arrived back safe. COT, Name-a-rama, Number-rama Good work by all and keep pushing so we will all be…

4 BRR trainees and a bonus runner posted for YHC’s return to RiverRun on a warm and muggy morning.  It was tough to decide which route to take but with the smaller PAX being regulars YHC decided to take the Riverdowns Roller Coaster. ROUTE – Across Robious down the trail to River Downs.  Left on Riverdowns S Drive.  Left on Queens Grant Drive, right on Royal Crest Drive.  All the way to the end to check on Gumbo’s house while he is on vacation.  Everything looks safe and sound there.  Reverse route on the way return doubling back for the…

11 strong posted at River Run this morning with no Q to lead the way.  YHC’s morning began with a text from Wilson that the New Market clown car was running late, so maybe by default, YHC picked up the Q and lead the PAX out of the Bettie Weaver parking lot and into Tarrington for the traditional River Run loop through Tarrington, including the long, steady Ashwell hill.  Always a crowd-pleaser. https://goo.gl/CXgU5H Strong work by all the PAX today.  I believe it may have been the virgin River Run posting for a few folks (Doogie, Wedding Singer, Honeydo, EF…

A fearless 8 broke the warm embrace of the fartsack on this holiday eve to tackle the HUMID 70 and Sunny roads of Midlothian RVA this morning, and we got straight to work and the sweat was rolling.  Mileage varied from 4 to 4.8.  See the route below. Thanks to Spit, Offshore and Trophy for coming out to check out RiverRun.  Great job everyone – way to crush the hills today. Announcements: Convergence at Dogpile tomorrow 0600 First Thursday at DaVille this Thursday – Ultimate Frisbee and then beers at COTU – 2.0s ad Ms welcome Next Saturday at Dogpile…

2 men escaped the post-Father’s Day food coma to post at River Run, including 1 River Run virgin.  The hills were in the original plans, but instead we opted for a more comfortable 4.2 mile jaunt through the River Downs neighborhoods as shown below. Thanks for coming out Mr. Roper – it was fun running and catching up with you. http://onthegomap.com/?m=r&u=mi&w%5B%5D=Walking+directions+are+in+beta.++++Use+caution+%E2%80%93+This+route+may+be+missing+sidewalks+or+pedestrian+paths.&c%5B%5D=Map+data+%C2%A92017+Google&d=6763&context=share&r2=uubb7fg_vE440404h1W2NU00FNLNLLPJVPVVDHDJHVFX1DV9VFt17X17R00B402C5q1PY1JKBSHULY1RUNURONMJUX1W1d1W1f1Sd1m1b2e1x1ITGRIX1Qn1Qr1W1z1Ur1a2x3695A00b2Z2HHh2X2Z1Z1p1l1X6p5v1v1FFPTNZ1BLNt1Lv1Fl1FZ1DNf2h3d1v2Bb2Tt97t19h1Fn1HZ1Rf1FLd3d3vD~C0025e3h5i1h1q1V_1BY12o1Eq7BO4C6OEGEa6u6WAWBEKCGCa12W17i1Fe25Y3a2Ie2Oo2e100BMFSBQDW17W1145U5k11m12w14k10600M3O1O0K2K8I8GEEGCICOg1g2CKIKEEOCG6M8QEQKOUq1W2Y1a1AI00g3k3i2q2MIGASEI6Y14E4I8EAEEACg1k1s1_1g1q1Sg1o1i2q1s2Mi1Ge1Eg1Cg14G00j2W1B4J4N8RAJCX1SFIJY1h1o2N9L7P5H0b18TEb4e2d1UREb1GT6T3R7NBHD9BDHBJDTTr3b1j4Jz1BR9HDLDNFHJNDD00b2w3p1s2Ni1Jc1HW1Lk1FULi1Ni1Pi1Rg1LW1W3_2s3m3s1q1SMW1IOCm3u1EEAG8I6E4M3q17o27w1Fy47o2Vg9Fq400t3p1d1Fb1LZ1NX1RVTTX1NVn2~3Tl1r1r2Td1HP00OTi1~1030333
