Cold, rain, miles, and misery: the perfect combination for a CSAUP to kick off 2025. Here is how it all went down: 20 Ruckers and a few straight through runners (Doozy and Big Rig) set worth, with the remaining 16 or so Pax joining Hitch for beatdown #1. Hitch Beatdown (stretch session). Dude. Thank you. Hitch basically warmed us on under the amphitheater and did helped get us ready for the run. Interesting side story: During the stretch session, a popping sound, followed by smoke came from Beaver’s head. Well, turns out his battery in the headlamp exploded. Damn dude!…

Eight stud muffins gathered at the Stony Point Shopping Center for a frosty trek through Larus Park in this morning’s newest edition of Ruckhenge. Approximately 3.5mi of ground was covered under load and the mumblechatter was supreme. Great to see McRib out for maybe the first time, and the return of Double Mint was highly anticipated. Announcements: THIS SATURDAY – FROZEN TRIANGLE – DOGPILE 6am – The less questions you ask the better. Prayer Requests: Double Mint, DTH, and Broadway all have friends and loved ones battling new cancer diagnoses. YHC took us out and over to coffeerama at Einstein’s.

Four of the regulars got together this morning to carry some extra weight around and figure out some names for the new AOs in our area. Well we got half the mission complete this morning. This is what went down….. 3 mile ruck and passing around a 20, 25 and a 30 pound kettlebell on our travels. A lot of chatter about having more kids this morning. God speed to Beaver!!! Frozen Triangle this Saturday 0600 at DogPile. LETS GO!!!!! Don’t waste the day Out!

A single HIM emerged from the stormy gloom with iron affixed to his six. This was a ruck challenge for time, here’s the deets! Warmarama: Deadman hang and a couple leg stretches. Basic – w/ 20 lb ruck •1 mile Ruck Shuffle/Run – Time: 09:43 •2 Mins – Ruck Hand Release Merkins: 42 •2 Mins – Ruck Squats: 60 •1/2 Mile Suitcase Carry – Time: 09:19 The rain wasn’t nearly as bad as the forecast predicted this AM which I am thankful for!

Four tough guys assembled this morning to blindly follow YHC into the bush, but everything turned out okay. NTB coaxed me to Q Ruckhenge earlier this week and after I agreed, NTB proceeded to telegraph his own fartsacking and then actually did fartsack. NTB did show up after the ruck ended to grab some carbs and coffee. YHC still doesn’t know if NTB’s no-show was genuinely accidental as he claimed or a brilliant piece of performance art. Regardless, I’m grateful to NTB for getting in my grill about Qing an AO I frequent. We covered 2.7 miles of trail, did some walking lunges, bent over rows and…

YHC found out the hard way Choo Choo is a true ginger as we were getting our stretches on this morning. Kidding! I’m glad to keep that vision out of my mind! 4 dark strangers gathered at the park of the Pines for a ruck around the neighborhood on this windy gloom. We encountered activities such as neighbors leaving their driveways at the same time as if we were in the Truman Show as well as being stalked by some character in a pick up trying to play it cool as if he wasn’t following us around. Thanks for the…

A balmy 34 degrees greeted four ruckers at The Forge location tackling a pleasant 5 mile jaunt to the James and back in a speedy 1:25. Probably 5+ degrees cooler down by the river, and Shirley’s incline was quite the wakeup call after our long descent. Phenomenal conversation as usual, and deeply grateful for these fine brothers in YHC’s life. COT prayer for a couple men facing hard times. We can always do more for those the Lord places in our path. Yours AYE! ~ DTH

Eight (8) HIMs braved the frosty weather for a 3.3 mile ruck around the streets, not trails (esp. after buttermilk on Sunday), surrounding SP shopping center. Added in a few hilly Bernies for some variation. Coffeeteria and q.source discussion on an overview of Leave Right was really appreciated, till the next one!Announcements: Frozen Triangle coming up. SOJ takeover continues. Screenshot

1 HIM made his way to The LumberYard for a nice 2 mile snow ruck! Paid the late fee of 10 burpees it’s worth it to get warm immediately! Snow covered trail made it a smooth 2 mile ruck around the lumberyard – peaceful ruck to scope the land as I prepare for my first Q this Saturday! Looking forward to the seeing the PAX this week!
