Betty Weaver Elementary

No Q on the sheet but YHC had mapped out a new route for the PAX. As Flatline and I discussed whether the clock had hit 0530 yet, Mr. Roper rolled in. Decided on an easy route for some easy miles. Out 711 toward 288 for 2 miles and return with a lap around the school. Good to have Flatline back at RiverRun since he’s been scrambling around after moving.

10 strong for the Murph today with an option for advance route on the last mile up Twin Team! Mossy to the main playground = 1mile 10 rounds of the below with each round consisting of the following exercises. • 10 pullups • 20 Merkins • 30 squats After we completed the 10 rounds 3 headed back to the parking lot = 1 mile and 7 headed up twin team = 1 mile COT, Name-a-rama, Number-rama Good work today by all and it was nice to add the twist running up twin team on the last mile!

8 men descended upon Bettie Weaver Elementary for some muggy Monday miles. No Q, a couple new faces, and no route in mind so we settled quickly on the OG to make sure no one would get lost. 4 and 5 mile options with a loose bro-code type run for the 5 milers with some vets guiding the first timers around the neighborhood. Honeymoon’s pooch has gotten more miles in the past 2 days than most runners and her knees don’t hurt like her human counterparts. Great run despite the thick air this morning. Apologies to Smokey, he started the…

A PAX of 3 assembled at BWES for a River Run beatdown that went something like this THANG: River Run OG in reverse so we could catch the sunrise as the PAX descended into Tarrington. Bullseye met us on his bike shortly after the Twin Team ascent. Corned Beef measured 4.25 miles total. YHC thinks it felt like more. Lots of topography. Naked Moleskin Cheers to Slumlord for hitting up Bullseye and YHC Sunday evening to see who was running. YHC surely would have fartsacked otherwise…and then our Mechanicsville visitor would have been on his own. Cheers to Corned Beef…

Solo post at River Run. Went down to the trails by the river. Got turned around and headed back past Weaver to run up Twin Team. Back around the school and lot to round out 45 minutes. 4.20 miles When running solo in trails you catch all the spiders. I run faster in a group. Kids late for rowing drive fast. Prayers for Helix’s daughter and family. Shakedown

Solo post at River Run this morning. I waited an extra minute and then headed for the trails down by the river. Got turned around and ran back past the car, up Twin Team and then back around the school and parking lot to finish out the 45 minutes and 4.20 miles. I run faster with a group and when I know where I am going. Kids late for rowing drive really fast The river trails are kind of spooky in the foggy dawn. Prayers for Helix’s daughter. Peace fellas – see y’all tomorrow. Can’t add QIC, Date, Pax.. somehow…

8 men posted to River Run, including to summer tourists (one returning to his homeland). The tourists may have been looking for hills, but YHC had something different in store. Given the abundance of light and the long-debated trail route, YHC decided it was time to make it a reality. The route was down to the Riverfront, then left onto the trailhead – follow the WHITE blazes as much as possible for a 1.5 mile loop. The goal was 2 loops and back to the flag for about 5 miles. All returned to the Flag. Some did 2 loops, some…

3 SOJ vets and a summer tourist hit the mean streets of northwestern Chesterfield County for a ride on the roller coaster. Around the school, down Robious, into River Downs, up Queens Grant hill and back toward Gumbo’s abode. Cut through into Cross Creek added for close to 3 miles out and reverso. Phonics informed YHC that he would be visiting RiverRun today and since he had experienced Twin Team before we showed him what the roller coaster is all about. This is a one of a kind ride that hits some good hills on the out and the back.…

Nine took advantage of a break in the weather to kick off today’s edition of River Run between rain showers. Conditions were 70 and sunny. Route: James River to the James River. Run the loop. Left on Riverton Ridge, left on Welby, right on Sherfield, left on Ashwell, left on Ashwell again, cross Robious, and right on Powderham to Twin Team down the hill to James River Road and BWES. 5.1 for those who didn’t loop around. Lug Nut and Bleeder ran the 4 mile route. NMS: Doozy shot out like a cannon today. Unfortunately, the concussion caused a massive…
