Always 70 and Sunny

It’s often mentioned that Alamo and surrounding AOs are just pavement, and we like it that way! There’s a new neighborhood opening by Satans Hill and the smell of new pavement got us from six to midnight and we had to go explore. Nancy brought the ghost flag as a reminder of the power he possesses, but he held onto the flag for another day. YHC announced we had a long mosey, and away we went. Up the main road and hang a right at the construction zone. Warm up included standard items, but we added a new one, the…

17 men for a super special edition of Snuff Underground: Breathwork. Mosey to circle for a warmarama with some lofi beats. Mosey to the amphitheater where the music heated up for some box jumps up the steps and mirkins at the bottom. Per usual Snuff Underground rules, the song continued without expectation of ending. Dora with squats, LBCs and monkey humpers until the song changed again. Mosey to the underground where we faced heartbreak and devastation: the club is now closed. Fenced in with barbed wire. The reverb will return one day, but not today. Mosey to the wall for…

3 of SOJ’s finest fought off the gloom this morning to embrace the day in all of its glory. Two rallied in front of Hermie’s house while YHC pressed snooze one to many times so had to catch up on the long back 9. Nonetheless 3 miles and hundreds and topics were covered. One was the topic of the motivation on taking anabolic steroids when well past your prime. PAX concluded it would be the same motivation as someone who buys an expensive sports car. SYITG!

3 runnahs including an FNG and 2 ruckahs came out to move around in the sauna for a bit. runnahs did a 4 on, 1 off ruckahs rucked. no one got hurt. Welcome Bam!!

Eight great men emerged from the gloom for a sweaty smack down around M.M.E.S. on the last day of July. Fun fact: July is named after Julius Caesar. More on that in a minute. -Warm up -Merkin, Derkin, Dip -Parking lot punishment. Bear crawls, lunges, and plenty of pain. -Pull ups sprinkled in -100 yard dash x2 -Mary Prayers for dads’ health today, Hitchhiker’s and Applesauce’s. Julius Caesar got a month named after him, but the other J.C. (Jesus Christ) is the fulcrum of all time on earth, B.C. and A.D. He’s worth following.

The non-tour stop/tour stop at Circus Maximus. One visitor and 13 regulars took a tour of GHS. Here is how it went down: COPSSHIWDQHelicoptersArm circlesDMHHRMLBCTour of Godwin, KB style – multiple stops with 5, then 10, then 15, then 20 reps of an exercise; adding/dropping a new exercise at each stop50 lawnmower pulls, each arm50 upright rows50 tricep presses50 curls50 KB FK50 sit ‘n presses50 KB presses50 overhead pulls50 squats30 weighted lunges, right leg15 weighted lunges, left leg COT with YHC taking us out I guess the PAX was weary of a KB workout as the only visitor was the…

7 HIMs put on some baggy shorts and high tops and hit the blacktop for some knockout and 3v4. According to the shirtless and chiseled man running the track at 5am, here’s what happened… Mosey around the school and back to the courts, circled up gave F3 message and did a series of stretches to stretch the ligaments. started off with a game of knockout. If knocked out go do a suicide on other court, 5 SSH each time you reach the baseline. If game is still going when finished, hop back in. After a series of returning players, we…

7 gathered for the latest edition of RH. Waited for a straggler, then hit the streets today. A challenge was thrown out to increase usual rucking weight by 5-10% this week in an attempt to shift from a place of comfort. Goal was to cover some decent distance as well, with hills and variable activities (Bernies on hills & Farmers Carry’s) thrown in. Solid job by the pax who covered 3.5 miles in 1:02:21. Our chapter this week focused on the Greeks and the rise and fall of their empire. As always some great discussion cropped up. Thanks for joining…
