Always 70 and Sunny

3 of SOJ’s finest fought off the gloom this morning to embrace the day in all of its glory. Two rallied in front of Hermie’s house while YHC pressed snooze one to many times so had to catch up on the long back 9. Nonetheless 3 miles and hundreds and topics were covered. One was the topic of the motivation on taking anabolic steroids when well past your prime. PAX concluded it would be the same motivation as someone who buys an expensive sports car. SYITG!

3 runnahs including an FNG and 2 ruckahs came out to move around in the sauna for a bit. runnahs did a 4 on, 1 off ruckahs rucked. no one got hurt. Welcome Bam!!

Eight great men emerged from the gloom for a sweaty smack down around M.M.E.S. on the last day of July. Fun fact: July is named after Julius Caesar. More on that in a minute. -Warm up -Merkin, Derkin, Dip -Parking lot punishment. Bear crawls, lunges, and plenty of pain. -Pull ups sprinkled in -100 yard dash x2 -Mary Prayers for dads’ health today, Hitchhiker’s and Applesauce’s. Julius Caesar got a month named after him, but the other J.C. (Jesus Christ) is the fulcrum of all time on earth, B.C. and A.D. He’s worth following.

The non-tour stop/tour stop at Circus Maximus. One visitor and 13 regulars took a tour of GHS. 7 HIMs put on some baggy shorts and high tops and hit the blacktop for some knockout and 3v4. According to the shirtless and chiseled man running the track at 5am, here’s what happened… Mosey around the school and back to the courts, circled up gave F3 message and did a series of stretches to stretch the ligaments. started off with a game of knockout. If knocked out go do a suicide on other court, 5 SSH each time you reach the baseline. If game is still going when finished, hop back in. After a series of returning players, we…

7 gathered for the latest edition of RH. Waited for a straggler, then hit the streets today. A challenge was thrown out to increase usual rucking weight by 5-10% this week in an attempt to shift from a place of comfort. Goal was to cover some decent distance as well, with hills and variable activities (Bernies on hills & Farmers Carry’s) thrown in. Solid job by the pax who covered 3.5 miles in 1:02:21. Our chapter this week focused on the Greeks and the rise and fall of their empire. As always some great discussion cropped up. Thanks for joining…

YHC rolled in hot to find the rest of the PAX warming up. Rotate twice 11s – kb swings + tricep extensions Numbers, names, Yardsale took us out.

Ole Beaver is back on the road! This time in Nashville TN on Music Row and by golly was it hot this week(by a country mile some would say). Run a country mile from hotel to AO. 13 F3 studs emerged from the gloom to have Copycat Q a 2 round decathlon around Centennial Park. We also had a young man passing by our workout we invited in and so he did! Turns out he just came in from Kenya yesterday, now known as Raddish. I met Wolfpack – claims he’s been to Timberwolf, visits his sister in RVA. Spinal…

4 Respect warriors took to the gloom last Sunday morning to launch on a quest. Not for a dead kid down the tracks but to see where things went. We did not have to deal with Ace and his gang along the way but there was some strange looks from passerby’s at a road crossing. In all 3 miles in 55 minutes were covered. Some Pax experienced vertigo due to looking down the entire trip as not to fall on the tracks. One Pax stumbled several times but never went down.
