10 HIMs wanted to throw some s*** at each other, a healthy way to release some energy. What’s in the bag was up for debate – wrenches, dodgeballs…who knows! 5:30, let’s mosey. Halfway around the track YHC stopped for some stretching. Rudy pondered why we only ran half the track. Arm circles, middle school stretches, and Roscoe’s mom got us ready for the event ahead. YHC decided to do a schoolyard pick, first two to sprint across the field were captains. YHC got off the line clean and was a powerhouse flying down the field. I could hear Rudy’s teeth…
Iron was sharpened at the Forge this am with 8 HIMs. Two glorious American flags flapped in the breeze. Let’s go! Warmup – jog 2.5 minutes down hill….a little longer back up the hill. Back to flag area for a little stretch, merkin, scorpion kicks (apparently a westho thing), rosalita, dying cockroach, some zesty *APDs*, etc. Thang 1: Mosey down to jerkin station at base of hill for a triple, no wait quad check! Two groups of four. Ejercicios were KB swings, KB chest press (it was push press, right NTB?), Jerkins, and runner up the hill to “the stop…

It has been a few weeks and many excuses but YHC finally returned the friendly confines of First Watch to enjoy the comradery, humor and humidity. No Q on the sheet at 4.54 so lets make it this official. Many regulars and new faces, atleast to me, joined in for a legendary beatdown to some. Moseyed to the point of the triangle for introductions and disclaimers followed by various exercises some in cadence, others in conversation. Good times were had by most. Continue down to Country Squire to begin the Lindsay back up to River Road. Exercises included LBC’s and…
The following is Based on a true story …. This morning, 16 battle-ready HIMs rolled into the Woodshed to witness Teddy KGB’s glorious VQ debut — and boy, the chips were cashed in. We kicked things off with a mosey around the lot, gracefully leaping puddles like majestic gazelles in New Balances. Warm-up was textbook: Side Straddle Hops, Merkins, and LBCs to get the blood flowing and the chatterboxes humbled. Then came the real fun. Coupons were expertly stashed just out of sight like hidden Easter eggs for grown men. We partnered up and went to work: farmer carries…
The usual Ruck warriors welcomed Dry Rub to speed ruck the mean streets of Bon Air, clocking 3.5 miles with the encouraged topic of Doomsday Prepping livening up the usual discussion. Coffee and deep philosophical thoughts occurred after at Einstein. Always a pleasure gents! Yours AYE! ~DTH
Just the two of us stepped out to finally use some of the coupons we’ve been neglecting. The YHC felt we needed a solid upper body beatdown and he definitely delivered. This is how it went down…. Seven supreme athletes not named Brick went to West Broad Village in search of brick. We ran to the entrance off Three Chopt and did some warmups and then went exploring for brick intersections, many with circles in the middle. There were ten. We celebrated 5 of them with 10 burpees each, 1 with 20 monkey humpers, 1 with 25 WWII, 1 with 20 two count flutters, 1 with 20 jump squats and 1 with 20 HRM. The Pax were not as impressed as I was with the beauty of these intersections. I will need to take them back there…
