Always 70 and Sunny

1 soon to be Ultramarathoner, and another running enthusiast met up at Dogpile, each with a specific number of miles in mind. Boberry, in the peak of training for his 8 hour race, was looking at a daunting 20 miles for the day. While YHC, decided on the way to the AO, that he was going to try and get in Eleven miles, in honor of F3RVA’s Eleven Year Anniversary. Boberry set the route for two 5 mile loops, mixing a little trail and some laps around Maymont and Byrd Parks. YHC added an out and back to Carytown to…

Fifty-six HIMs said to heck with clowns, bouncy houses, cake and ice cream, let’s celebrate our 11th birthday with a good old fashioned beatdown. Here’s what transpired: Mosey to the Amphitheater for Mission, Disclaimer, and COP SSHs Helicopters Copperhead Squats Jazzercises Ukranian Soldiers HRMs Flutter Kicks LBCs Plankorama Add Rosie and Handshake into the Q Mix EF Q Triple Check at the Rusty Cage P1 – Run to the Hydrant and does 1 Burpee then returns P2 – Pullups P3 – Lt. Six men met up in Rutland for Rucking and Running on this perfect Thursday. As they took off, the ended up partnering up in 3 groups. Conversations ranged from politics to school closings. For BAM! and YHC, the route took them into Rutland, Cool Spring Forest, Cool Spring West, and Knollwood for about 4.7 miles. The Ruckers rucked around Rutland and possibly Cool Spring Forest. The other runners ran various locations before one runner had to exit. COT: Numberarama, Name-O-Rama, Announcements, No Idea took us out. NMS Enjoyed the run this morning. As we were gathering for the COT, Lab…

Us New Kent fellas love IPC so much we put Week 2 on replay! 4 he-man woman haters emerged from the gloom to get this 8 track party rolling! We had a sore Beaver and Choo Choo from Weds IPC session and tried our best to prepare Yukon and Wonka on what to expect, not sure if we added any value because it sounds like they’re already sore. There wasn’t a whole lot of chatter during the workout as we all passed eachother like ships in the night. Convergence tomorrow!

5 took to Red Pill. Temps were 70 and sunny. According to the Karen in the black Ford pick-up, the following might have happened: Some nutty circle of pain in which F3 trivia was hurled at the Pax. Wrong answers merited burpees. One star. Not recommended. SSH, IWs, Toy (Ukrainian) soldiers, Hip Circles (new to YHC), and Hillbillies (which weren’t our hillbillies, but YHC digresses). Pick up your coupon. YHC exchanged his 38 pound ruck-sack for a 32 pound Cindy. YHC’s pal Starbuck’s carried that ruck for almost all of the next 45 minutes, perhaps 40 minutes in total. YHC…

12 guys and 2 dogs stood around after a hilly run around Westend waiting on Pigskin to tell us what planet was shinning next to the moon this morning.. After a fair bit of time most walk away not knowing.. He was able to finally get the app to work and it was Venus. So now you know… As for the workout… We ran. A few lefts a few rights.. Many hills.. I heard Mr Roger’s and Lighthouse talking behind Full House and I.. Salt lick talked bedpan ear off.. Pigskin rolled solo. Blue moon and Handshake walked a dog..…

Seven + 2 + 1 RAMMers + RAMMGearsers + massively LIFO Bodos, gathered under the moonlight for this morning’s iteration of RAMM. No one signed up so YHC came up with a quick route while “preparing” for the run this AM. Gumbo attempted to suggest a repeat of Sippy’s 50th run from last week so we could see the route this time. YHC suggested a flatter route. Everyone rejoiced. The Route East on Grove to North on Hamilton Turn left (see below) Left on Lafayette, right on Grove Right on Antrim, turn left Left on Sauer, right on Grove Right…

As I watched Tua hand the game to Buffalo, I pondered what today’s beatdown should be. Help Matlock run 8 miles? Break out the cornhole boards? YHC landed somewhere in-between…however waking up and recovering from yesterday’s IPC, my quads were feeling the pain. Too bad, the show must go on! 12 HIMs began to mosey, then Hermey showed up in a SmartCar and we took off for an indian run to a cul-de-sac hidden in darkness so we could admire the stars. Quick count showed 12 HIMs made it, so Nancy and Mudslide launched a Saving Private Hermey rescue mission…

6 regular HIM’s and 1 Downrange joined YHC for a little Lounge action at Twin Team today. Was it loungy? Sort of. Warmarama: Various exercises called, all completed in conversation. Thang: 4×4 basketball – regular court. The great hoopers that joined YHC today didn’t let a semi-flaccid basketball stand in their way. It was time to hoop! No score was kept and YHC would call out various exercises after a made basket or a particularly bad shot or pass. Thang 2: 4×4 basketball – diagonal court. A bit more running on this one. YHC’s summary of players: Rosie quickly established…
